Hi,

What's the best for you?

Fabled T5 with proc 12% but 43.9 damage rating (approx 3 proc by minute) or T6 legendary with proc 5% (one proc for a minute) and higher damage rating?

Go with the cobalt you will be using it longer due to mobs that are over the T5 lvl cap at like 61 or so.... sorry to say .. all T5 fabled gear with MIT for tanks is crap..... now.. oh well Jewelery is still good and your belt for T5 ...

Message Edited by XskullbusterX on 12-06-2005 11:00 AM

Message Edited by XskullbusterX on 12-06-2005 11:01 AM

I have 1 T5 fabled item I still use. My neck slot item because it has almost equal to T6 legendary stats and has a good proc for a tank. Basically Armor and weapons yes always take T6 Legendary over T5 fabled because of the level difference to the mobs. For Jewelery it is no longer directly related to the mob rather all it give is stats and resists so if the T5 is better then keep it.

Ok when i said T5 let me clarify .... im talking about ALL MITIGATION GIVING PIECES and WEAPONS AND SHIELDS......... im sorry you misunderstood me but as for jewelery including Neck ... Rings... Bracelets .... and Belt ..... yes you can still use everything for these .... i still use my T5 earing ... but the topic was for a WEAPON and that was where my answer was ... sorry for the misunderstanding ... and no reason to disagree because i wasnt including jewelery into my statement

have a great day everyone....

I actually beleived they removes the issue of T5 fabled's no longer hitting higher level mobs. I used the Axe of Misery just fine in poet's last night, and nothing past the first floor was below 61.

The real question though, is did you hit the named (eye or golem on second floor....or Keeper, et al on 4th floor). I believe a T5 fabled will work up to 60 for regular grinding, though Cobalts damage rating will be higher, and the proc should also be higher. For at least 5--55 you can still use your T5 fabled, while you wait to harvest a cobalt

I'll double check to be on the safe side but one thing I am positive of is the change they made in PP that had previously not allowed Prismatics to work. Went out and got a Cobalt 2-hander specifically to hit PP mobs, then 3 days later, the Prismatic Greatscale started functioning. It's my beleif the T5 changes occured at the same time (To be quite honest though, I'm rarely looking at actual auto-attack damage.) I'll try to confirm tonight.

Yes ... Auto Attack dmg is what we need to know here ... your CAs will hit no matter what since they are Divine based .... If something is immune to crushing for instance the eye in MoTM ..... you can still hit it with your CAs while using Crushing so you will do dmg .... BTW Ghootagham (big slime in AA at the end .... is immune to DIVINE the [Removed for Content] .... )

Yeah, like I said, I'm almost positive it works since they changed Prismatic functioning as well.

FYI...I have Axe of Misery and after the Prismatic change I've been trying my Axe in zones like Scornfeather, Ancients and Poets, and being 57 now, as soon as the mobs changed to yellow I could use my axe on auto easily hitting at 130. I'll also check as I confirmed it mostly with Scorn and Ancients, as I only see a small amount of yellow in Poets, but with those it procs fine. The Named, the Ring Events, however I'm in doubt but once they appear yellow I can check. Oh interesting enough, the proc appears more often in these zones than with green or blue content (T5 Epics and stuff), however ti does proc for both.

Perc

Oggok Paladin

One thing I forgot to mention, my Paladin is highly strength oriented so as I've mentioned in another Pally thread, I don't know how this tends to affect things.

Message Edited by eyes007 on 12-12-2005 11:34 AM
