I am a level 37 Pali. With the prospect of gaining lev. 40 in the near future what is some advise on armor selection. Is it better to wait till 40? or does it matter? What would be the best choice of armor? I seem to have a problem deciding if something is really a improvement or if it is a sideways move. What aspects of armor should one look for?thx <div></div>

The aspect of armor depends on your primary role. When you tank often look for high mitigation armor. Other important stats when tanking are: - STA (= more hitpoints) - AGI (= more avoidance) - Raw HP - Wis (= better resistance) - Resists Good armor to obtain (yet expensive) is ebon crafted armor (it's the T5 legendary arnor). Expect. Other nice armor is sootfoot forged armor, this drops in lavastorm. When you group alot without you playing the tank you shuld focus on: - STR (= more power and more mellee DPS) - INT (= more damage from spells) - Raw Power Don't neglect the other stats though, they are also important e.g. when the tank dies so you can take over. When soloing all of the above stats are important.... <div></div>

At 37, I'd suggest you hold off on any major upgrades until 40, so you can wear ebon. Prices are falling quickly--earlier this week I saw several ebon clusters on the broker for about 50 gold (Najena Server), and with the increased rate for rare harvests, you can get enough to upgrade a copmplete set within a couple levels, easy. I'd suggest you get BP, Legs, Shoulders/Weapon in that order--and spend the extra coin to have BP/Legs/Weapon imbued while you're at it. After that, fill in the rest as you can. Ebon makes a difference when tanking or soloing, and is worth the effort.

Wisdom DOES NOT affect resistance.

<DIV>Sorry to correct you Yeldar, but each point of wisdom is around 3 points of resistance, so it does help on resisting casting mobs. If you dont believe it try fighting with the boost of your defensive stance versus offensive and tell me your resist values on the ones not divine or magic. Granted that +3 points per wisdom isnt much, but it also gives you some power with it too. Personally you are better off on focusing on your STA/INT over WIS usually and it is easy to get your STR up high with all of the gear available to us.</DIV>
