We tried Rahotep, this time with a level 60 Paladin tank and a level 53 monk tank. In fact, he may be the most experienced Paladin raid tank on Lucan Dlere and is in the uber raid guild on our server. I do not consider myself strong enough to tank Rahotep yet. We got wiped AGAIN. Rahotep did the same thing to our very experienced and well equipped level 60 raid Paladin tank that he did to all of the others. It was as if he had little avoidance and no mitigation. He took just as much damage as all of the other lower level tanks who have attempted to tank Rahotep. There is something seriously broken with raid mobs and plate armor fighter that needs to be fixed, or some of the raid mobs need to be fixed. I dont know.

Thoughts, suggestions, comments?

Message Edited by Rochir on 10-11-2005 03:52 PM

Plate tanking is very broken. I'm seeing it more and more every day. There is no doubt it needs to be fixed. The question is how long?

I'm going nuts with it myself.

Not concerning pallies, but Rahotep rather. We had a 60 Guardian tank him last night , had 3 healers. 12 people. Went down perfectly and quickly.

Hmm,. Guild I'm in on AB took out Fist, Vaz, Vene easy. Karthuk was next but zone crashed when we had him hit berz, ;( . Seems odd, after those went down easy the "no stun epic" etc patch came in the next day... so something must be outta whack if they have to ban pretty much all the cool spells people grinded hard for. Don't have much experience with Rahotep, but the contested felt like a joke... So something is out of balance

We finally got him this week with 2 pallys tanking myself 59 and another 58. Except for us a 60 berserker and a 58 healer most of the other ppl in the raid were mid 50 to low 50s. Our mages were able to root the last mob in each wave until we were all full power and buffed. When Rahotep came we were able to take out his 2 pets but our healers and warders were unable to keep my pally up and he went down. The other pally immediately grabbed (good job Xeno) and our main healer (thanks mcling) immediately rezzed my pally. My pallys heals are all master2 and ward is adept3. With potions, manastone and battlement of mind on my ring i was able to help with the heal / ward on our other pally tank. It was a glorious battle and even if Xeno had gone down I was saving enough power to grab him back. All of our raids people played nearly flawlessly for the win and thats the way it ought to be. PALLYS RULE

we took this guy out two days ago with a 57 SK (cobalt/t5 fabled) in about 15 mins with no problems. Around 4 healers and a troub to charm one single down mob of each wave until we'd regened power and health to take the next wave. Apart from that, there didn't seem to be anything paticularly special about the raid make up. Delight, 55 Pally, CB server

Message Edited by Ipskor2 on 11-01-2005 10:58 AM
