Ignoring the imminent (and ominous) combat revamp for a moment, I'm curious if anyone's given thought to which Court in Maj'Dul is most fitting for a Paladin. I don't know of any distinct benefits to one faction over another yet, so I'm just thinking from a roleplaying perspective, and they all seem to be at odds with some of the Paladin ideals regarding a holy warrior, honor, and such. For reference, some good info is here on the City page. Also, quoting from the FAQ: ----- Can you tell me more about the factions in Maj'Dul? There are three main warring factions within Maj'Dul: The Court of Blades, Court of Truth, and Court of Coin. You will have the opportunity to gain the favor of one of the factions by performing quests and other actions that will win their trust. Court of the Blades The soldier faction of Maj'Dul. They guard the borders of the region and rule many areas of the city. Court of Truth The lawyer faction of Maj'Dul and the masters of the Arena Champions. They use their mastery of training these fighters to enforce any law or regulation they wish. Court of the Coin The merchant clan of Maj'Dul who control all commerce in and out of the city. Court of Tears The name of the unofficial court that rules the poor quarter of Maj'Dul. It is run by assassins and thieves and is the benefactor of much of the infighting that occurs between the other Courts. ----- So, which Court is for you?

Nothign to do with PvP unless you intend on roleplaying or something. Which you choose simply gives you a different storyline you can follow as you go though. They have a number of subquests earch (about 7 for truth, not including optional quests for raising faction) give you quest rewards, access to a faction merchant with many perks depending on current faction (horses, app2 scrolls, tradeskill books, house items, permission to buy majdul housing, etc). Also once you are kindly or higher you can do a quest to get 'Call of Ro' in addition to access to menders, qeynos and freeport brokers (both 40%), merchants and such in the court palace. Being part of one faction generally means that the other two factions in the city will be KOS to you. Once you 'finish' one storyline you can switch to others to get their rewards and stories and such.I'm Truth in beta, and will be truth on live (but I intend on running though all 3 then re-allying to truth to stay)

Faction alignment is unimportant now that they made all factions carry the same rewards.
