Adept 3 advice (use or sell)

<DIV>Hello fellow Paladins,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>First let me just say I really like playing my paladin.  He is everything I wanted my Paladin to be in EQ.  Now to my question.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am currently 27 and I have a suzuri ink, the tier 2 rare ink, and I am debating if I should use it to make a adept 3 for myself or sell it.  I read a previous post about this subject and the reccomendation seemed to be Demonstration of Faith, the ward.  Being that I am already 27 I have Faithful Zeal, the upgrade to it, so that seems a waste at this point in my career.  So I'm wondering if there is a different 10-19 spell that is worth upgrading.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>About me and my style</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I find myself soloing more than grouping and when I have grouped I haven't too much difficulty keeping agro with my App 4 taunts.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I don't level very fast so if there is a 10-19 spell that is good to say level 40 but not the end game that would still last me quite a long time.  But if its something that is soon replaced by a new skill than I would rather have the 20 gold i could get for it on the market.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If there is a spell that upgrading to Adept 3 would make my soloing life signifacantly easier than that would be great.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Are most of the 10-19 spells replaced?  It seems like they are.  What about or Charge spell?  I haven't seen much mention of that one.  If im not mistaken that was the replacment for Kick.  Does that one get replaced soon?  Is it worth upgrading to adept 3?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So for all you guys that are well beyond me in levels, Are there any 10-19 spells that you still use and would reccomend me using my suzuri ink on?  Or is the best use of it to sell it for the gold?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>P.S. <P>Charge would have been a good speel to upgrade, but its a little late for you now (its level 19), upgrade is coming soon.</P> <P>In my opinion you definelty want to wait one level (2<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> and upgrade<STRONG> Oath Strike</STRONG> directly to Adept 3. Its a high damage spell that you wont recieve an upgrade for until Sworn Strike at 43 or so, and will use all the time.</P> <P>Others ones that may be of use:</P> <P>Glorious Weapon: I got a master for this and still use it at 44, its still better than the replacement.</P> <P>Pentinent Sacrmenet: More powerfull heal, good backup heal (5 mins recast)</P> <P>Blessed Aid: Maybe upgrade, but its level 22, upgrade is at level 26.</P>

<P>yea I have read a lot of people saying to upgrade oath strike and the others you suggested.  Unfortunatly the rare ink I have right now is just good for 10-19 spells.  So mabey the fact that you didnt mention any of those is an indication that I should just sell it.</P> <P>thanks</P> <P>  </P>

<P>doh - sorry - did what most people do which I hate - skimmed the message and responded <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>Charge is the best upgrade for T2, assuming my memory serves me correct and its level 19. It was the only T2 spell I upgraded.</P>

<div></div><div></div>I had the same question a few weeks back.  See: http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=10&message.id=10472 With a fair few Adept 1 spells of the broker, none of the choices jumped out.  And 20g is 20g <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> So I sold the Suzuri Ink.  In hindsite I probably shouldn't have refined it, because a lot of people just look for Coral and Silver on the broker. For Tier 3 I went for Redemption, as Oath Strike Adept 1's are common enough to be reasonably cheap on the broker. BTW  Ignoring the hate gain, Demonstration of Faith (DoF)  at Adept 1 is still ahead of Faithful Zeal in Power vs Effect for several levels.
