I can do 50/50 mixed success blue heroics solo.

I have taken down white heroics with a swashbuckler duo, a wizard duo and an assassin that pops off the top of my head. We didn't try group mobs but heroic ^^ mobs. As long as you shield bash and then heal the interrupts tend to be manageable better. However, should I fall behind into the orange I burn a sacrament.

If you're looking at starting new toons a pally and something else, I would make my decision based on the grouping of highest dps (post combat revamp) recently listed by another pally on our forum.

group 1 wizard/warlock

group 2 assassin/ranger

Thanks,
Kalen

Message Edited by SanJun on 06-27-2005 10:56 AM

Pally/Illusionist rocks.

Serious compatibility. You can do Orange ^^ with some effort, but any type of groups you can stick on will fall easilly.

The key to ^^ is to have the Ilusionist Pull with speechless. Then stun when he gets close, Pally must take aggro then, the Illusionist will have the mob oop in a few seconds after he is unstunned and it is cake after that. If the mob is 38 or lower, Illusionist root sticks pretty well so they can fully drain it before engage. 39 plus is a little more dicey as it cannot be rooted ro mezzed while draining. If the mob is too close I have the pally establish aggro first and self heal while I drain it.

As far as 3-5 groups, Pally's and Illusionist have good aoe. Pally aoe do not break Illusionist mez except for the bash line and then only if they are very close. So pull big groups and aoe them down. Illusionist can stifle/stun the group to dramatically drop the dps. Pally's biggest downfall is the power consumption. Illusionist brings it along with, perfect match.

Illusionist Group invis allows you to surgically choose targets and get deep into a zone quickly to the big exp. If there is a named, they mez it until the adds are gone.

I am leveling my illusionist right now and first thing I look for is a Pally. You should hear them rave about the exp when I show them how to do this. Roughly 40% per hour in a good camp.

Thanks for the input, will try the Pally/Illusionist combo!

Looking at the spells it doenst look like this combo starts to shine until lvl 22, and really takes off around 30 or so? That correct?

I play a lvl 50 pally and my girlfriend plays a lvl 50 troubie. Together, we are an awesome combo. Sometime around 40, she could suddenly tank so i didn't have to worry so much about getting aggro all the time. If she's got mana recharge on, I can take care of most mobs up to about a 50 ^^. It's usually a harrowing battle at that point, but we usually do fine. Troubies have got to be one of the most under-rated classes in the game. They are hard to play for a long time, then they become invaluable.
