View Full Version : Paladin lore question
-something ive been pondering- As i understand it Paladins by definition are crusaders imbued with devine powers from the gods right?, which begs the question, if the gods are gone in Norrath, why / how are Paladins still thriving with divine powers?

Dude... you've got to much time on your hands. As for devine powers... I wish I had some more to play with.

lol.

ok, here's an answer i came up with as soon as i read this. maybe......the gods handed these powers to ppl. when we went through our pally sub-class training, we were granted this power by our superiors, cuz they can pass it on. so...we were granted with a smal amount of divine, godlike power. as we train and lvl up and grow stronger, we excel in our divine powers, and they become stronger and more varied.

I've never been one to thrive in the lore stuff, nor do i play this game as a roleplay, but that's the best i could think up on the spot, hope u like it.

I don't think the Gods are gone, they are just not listening. But if you look at a Paladins skill, it's Determined Faith which means that through all the trouble Paladins are determined the Gods are still there and refuse to accept the idea that the Gods have abandoned Norrath. Some fo the Lore stories also suggest that while the Gods are not answering divine calls due to their anger at the plundering of the Planes, they did send avatars to protect their interests, in other words, some power but not all. Hope that helps.
