<DIV>I'm returning to EQ2 from having played a few other "flavor of the month" MMOs, and I like the game that I'm playing now. A lot of the changes since release seem to have made the game fit my playstyle a lot better. I have started a Paladin now, and while I'm still low-leveled, I have some questions that will impact my gameplay now and in the future:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have heard that 1h and shield are good for MT, and 2h for solo and added DPS, depending on my role in a group or playing solo. I think I also heard or read somewhere that crushing weapons are better against the dead/undead, and slashing weapns against the living. I know that some mobs have resists to certain types of damage, but is there a definitive list (or even a general list) as to what weapons/damage types are better against certain mobs?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have heard and read that I am better off getting imbued pristine gear made from common materials for my tier that getting gear made from rare materials. Does this hold true for weapons, armor, and jewelry? What are the tiers (i.e. are they every 10 levels) and what are the common resources for each tier?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Speaking to gear, I've heard that I should max out mitigation on most basic armor pieces, while maxing out resists on jewelry and a few other pieces, while any additional stats are just gravy. Does this hold up?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My last question on gear --- what are the pieces that I should be using at each tier. I understand that from 1-19, just wear and use whatever, hit the armor quests at 20-24, so from like 20 or 25 to 50, what should I spend my time and money going after?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At what point do Combat Arts become obsolete? Is it once you've reached X levels above when you received the skill, or is it a % of levels over when you received the skill, or something else? Should I bother spending money on App 2 and 3 skills? What Combat Arts are upgrades of lower level Combat Arts? Which ones use the same timer (if applicable)?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I know that's a lot of stuff, but any answers to any of the above would be helpful. I've checked a lot of other sites and databases, but I've yet to find the answers to the above questions.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks in advance</DIV>
