Best armour for a 30 pally?

<div></div>At the moment, I currently have all pristine feyiron (imbued where possible) sitting in my bank ready to hit 30 in a couple of levels, but what do you recommend getting? I've seen that feysteel is very good, but ugly and extremely expensive. Is it any more rare to mine than any other rare on TS and Antonica? Are there drops that I can get at my level that are better than these 2 types? What are your thoughts? <P>Feysteel is a lot better than feyiron, but it is a matter of what you can afford. </P> <P>Nektropos castle is a pretty good place to get feysteel, if you can find a group willing to go there regularly.</P> <P>If you do not forsee getting ghoulbane by 32, and do not already have a legendary or fabled weapon, I would consider getting a feysteel weapon first before armor, in order to hit some mobs that require a legendary weapon or better. After that, I would go with BP first (the heal proc is insanely good), and then legs.</P> <P>The feyiron armor you already have will do you very well all the way to 40 if you choose to save your money. If you do want to splurge, I think feysteel is noticably better, but depending on how fast you level, and how important it is to you to be way above average tank 30-40 or just an average tank 30-40. If you spend all your time in groups, having the absolute best armor possible is probably less important, unless you are seeking out a lot of epicx2 mobs, etc.</P> <P>-I</P>

<div></div>Well, my group that I play with most consists of a Paladin (me), Mystic, Warlock and Conjuror. Only thing is, I am from the UK and therefore play half of the day solo because they are all asleep (I play on Najena, all are American guildies), so during this time I solo, I think I should get the best armour possible. At the moment I have Berik, Sword of Thunder as my weapon and a pristine conditioned fir kite shield. In what way do you mean feysteel drops more often in Nektulos Castle? As of yet, I haven't been there and I'm working on the Ghoulbane quest at the moment anyway. I also know an armourer who will make my armour for about a gold piece per item, do I just need 1 feysteel cluster per item? Depending on how rich you our for T3 armour it depends. The basic and recommend if you dont like splashing out money on your armour is a set of "Pristine Forged Feyiron" which is cheap & quite effective, this will last you from 30 straight through to 40. Your next upgrade would be the Silvril armour which varies on level useage from 31-36, my character used silvril due to not having much money & i wanted to look different from the clones of feyiron, Silvril is not that expensive, ranges from 1g-7g on broker on my server (Highkeep). The stats our slightly better than Feyiron but you cannot imbue, that is your choice what you prefer. The next step up & best in T4 armour, is the "Pristine Forged Feysteel", this is a very hefty price, on my server per piece is sold for 50g. But the stats & mitigation on them our far superior to feyiron, if you have the money to spend on it, go for it. There is alternative ways of aquiring feysteel armor/weapons, just to mine in T4 zones such as Zek or Enchanted Lands, they our the rares, but will save you a hell of a lot of money. Basically you got the whole of T4 to go through so i would advise buying "Pristine Forged Feysteel" asap, to make sure it lasts the entire duration. <div></div>

<P>I have nearly a full suit of Feysteel ( I was lucky enough to find two SoT, selling one for 3 plat), only missing the boots.  Let me tell you it was worth every single gold piece.  There is a tremendous difference in what I can tank vs. other tanks wearing less effective armor.   I have 9 more levels to go in this tier, for me I average about a level a week...so for the next two and and half months I will have ub3r armor.  I can worry about what comes next in September!</P> <P>In the meantime, I can harvest for Feysteel and get a nice feysteel weapon made.  Im using crafted feyiron at the moment, waiting on hitting 32 to use Ghoulbane....but now that SBH is available...I may have to check into that more!</P>

<P>There are items that drop that are the same as a feysteel cluster for an armorer, these are called "dented feysteel goblet", "nickedfeysteel chalice" and "dull feysteel anklet" (all can be examined and say can be refined down for use in tradeskills). Just search for feysteel on a broker and you will see many of these.</P> <P>These items are a relatively common drop in Nektropos castle from the named mobs there (particularly the 5 sister encounters). I know several people in my guild that were able to get a full suit of feysteel by going to Nektropos every day for about two weeks.</P> <P>-I</P>
