Recently, having hit 28, I got a new attack named Oath Strike. On many occasions, when I attack something with it, it wont do any damage at all, but it doesnt say "Resisted" as if it hadn't hit at all. Has anybody else experienced this problem? <div></div>

<DIV>It's a melee attack...therefore not resisted, you just missed.</DIV>

Oh, I guess I must have mistaken it for a divine attack, just a melee that does divine. I need to get my agility up then huh <img src="/smilies/1cfd6e2a9a2c0cf8e74b49b35e2e46c7.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

<DIV>It is a melee attack that inflict divine damage. You can miss with it and enemies can parry it as well.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I tend to use it after I stun the mob or knock the mob down. I don't know for 100% positive because I have not parsed it if this is fact but it appears to land more if the mob is stunned or prone, perhaps the mob cannot parry in these states.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It is your 'big gun', especially if you Adept 3 it (which I heavily recommend) but it also eats up the power very quickly. Great for opening aggro though.</DIV>

Because of its 30 second timer, its one of the first moves I cast to ensure that ill probably get another chance to hit them with it, due to the fact that most things take longer than 30 seconds to drop. Currently I have the Adept 1 book, and my main priority at the moment is to get the best armour possible, so the spells above adept 1 will have to wait. Thanks all for your input! <div></div>

The spell gems at 20-30 are usually a LOT less expensive than Feysteel for level 30-40 (believe me I know) and this along with your targetable heal are very much worth the cash/harvesting time investment. They may delay armor aquisition but they are powers you will use a LOT and with amazing effect.</P> <P>In the end though, do what you find the most fun. If armor makes you happier to get first them go for it. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><BR></P>

<div></div>Any ideas on the numbers of the spell? Currently at 28 mine does about 240-380 or something like that, with 40-49 over time if successful. Any screenshots of the2? Edit - Just checked the stats, up to 459 damage. Thats pretty good, I may just get adept 3 of that. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Phattie on <span class=date_text>06-13-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:24 AM</span>

lol you dont know how long it took me to figure that out lol, yeah now i stun then oath strike works good, so annoying when you miss though <div></div>
<DIV>I had really bad luck with Oath Strike adept 1. Other Pally's in my guild said it was connecting 9/10 times for them. Mine was hitting 6/10 at best. Fortunately, shield bashing first seemed to up the connect rate for me. I was so frustrated with the number of times I missed, I actually took the training upgrade to see if it would be better--nope. Likewise, I don't recommend the training upgrade for others, better choices.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sworn Strike our upgrade to Oath Strike gives me no trouble. It still misses some, but it doesn't seem to be that much and I'll replace Oath Strike's training upgrade when I respec shortly.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks,</DIV> <DIV>Kalen</DIV>

<DIV>i notice no difference when using stun before oathstrike or not. but thats probably because stuns only last .9sec, and it takes longer than a full second to even get your next spell off (oath strike or otherwise).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><edit> about the resists. if you miss with the melee attack, the divine dot gets resisted. you should notice it says missed or parry and on the next line is the resist.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Titaliss on <span class=date_text>06-14-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:57 PM</span>
