Thoughts? My shield is the Shiny Brass Shield (kite version). <div></div>
<DIV>The mana perks of the screaming mace should not be overlooked. I compared my pristine imbued ebon longsword to bloodfire a few weeks ago and decided it would hold a distant second place to my current slasher.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks,</DIV> <DIV>Kalen</DIV>

Screaming Mace is about the only thing i use. When fighting named blue ^^ mobs by myself, i usually rely on the proc going off, or else im dead. I keep a bloodfire with me on raids like Drayek, where they are immune to crushing. If the bloodfire proc went off twice as much as the screaming mace, i think it would be a viable choice.

Your forgetting a important choice from "Heart of Fear" called Monsoon somthing or other 10% haste stacks with ring and FBSS. For a solo weapon choice or just as a DPS it can quickly drawrf the silly EBBC we worked so hard on. Yes it is a 2 hander but that should be fine for soloing depending on the training you picked. I picked Kasines myself so I have no clue is to the training 2hander skill effect. as for ebon weapons I still think its a utter waist of resources that could be used on armor as cedar does just about the same thing at less then 1/3 the cost. If you want a really rare weapon get u [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] to sol's eye and get u a group, the master chest rate drop in this zone in rather unreal.
<P>Moonsoon, Sword of the Swiftwind is a great two-hander that I need to pickup when I can find some more ring event-ready players to join in Cazic-Thule. I was very impressed with the stats the first time I noted the sword, but it appears some of the stats have been lowered in the past months.</P> <P>I had mixed feelings regarding my first ebon going to a weapon. If I had it to do over again, I would probably pick at least the BP first. I was fortunate too harvest two ebon and afford to buy a third (BP/Leggings/1-handed LS). My sword procs so frequently I've last track of keeping up with the bonus damage. It's saved my tail time and time again in solo encounters when mana is gone or near gone and compared side by side with Bloodfire, wins hands down. There's a lot of fabled gear that beat out ebon armor and weapons, but if you are in a group with a decent healer, you'll tank just fine with fulginate or ebon. The stats are better on ebon armor no doubt, but many players can't afford a full suit when they ding 40 (I couldn't), and many others purchase a piece only to replace it days later with fabled. You don't have to have all ebon armor to be a good tank. (I bet it's nice though and any future harvests I find will certainly go that route including purchasing as an option as coin permits <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> </P> <P>I'm very pleased with my pristine ebon imbued long sword and have no regrets regarding the purchase. However, to each his/her own. Goodies in tier 6 will likely shadow ebon armor/weapons and a lot of the fabled in tier 5.</P> <P>Thanks,<BR>Kalen</P>

My choice is the screaming mace. I've got both and I only use the screaming mace. With the mace equiped i can (though with efford) solo Undertow. He has a nasty power drain, but with the mace i can easily heal myself again when it procs. <div></div>

<P>i go screaming mace.</P> <P> </P> <P>on another note to person that said monsoon dwarfs ebbc.....suggest u do the math and a dps check, I have and with the 10% haste on monsoon its still slightly <U>lower</U> dps than ebbc but is slightly higher than bbc, making it a viable wep for those that didnt get the sword of thunder and a wasted choice for those that did.</P> <DIV>Steelle</DIV>

<DIV>Without question screaming mace. As I accounted in a different thread, I was fighting a lvl 48 double up named in CT with my EBBC and the picture was looking bleak. I was out of mana and having to heal every time my heal came up. I switched to SM and finished the battle with over 50% mana left. I was stunned what a difference this made, when I switched I figured I was still going to have to run for the zone, but it made such a difference I was able to pull out a win.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-I</DIV>

<DIV>EBBC in CT at level 50 killing greens in hopes the despoiler would pop useing zero combat skills =65-70DPS FBSS and ring equip</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Monsoon in same area doing same thing /w FBSS ring useing no skills once again = -95-102 DPS</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Check the math for your self a rated 52.8 weapon that is not level maxed will do less over all, and as us old timers know from MMOG's haste = king</DIV>
