View Full Version : Paladin Armor Quests
<DIV>I just started my Paladin Armor Quest (Gauntlets) and I am having a problem getting the Sabertooth Tormentors to spawn. I was told that in order to get them to spawn, you have to clear alll the Gnolls around a Gnoll tent camp and have them dead at the same time. This looks like it would be 3 or 4 groups of 4 gnolls each. I tried the camps outside of BB and being solo, I kept having a group re-spawn before I could kill all the groups. Is there anyway or anywhere for a 20 pally to complete this part of the quest solo? Should I try another location? If so, where?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Along those lines, is the quest armopr really worth it? Or would it be better to craft some of my own armor (level 21 Armorer) and forget about the quested stuff? Which pieces would be the best to work on?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks,</DIV> <DIV>Naugrim Oakenshield</DIV> <DIV>20 Dwarf Pally</DIV>
As far as I know thats the only way, there are two camps, clear one, then clear the other, right outside BB. What I did was find some people there to help with the quest, if you stay and ask around its not to hard. <div></div>

<P>do get your quest armour sooner rather tahn later, its fantastic and will last you all the way up to lvl 30, i have just turned 31 and finally said goodbye to the breast plate, even then it was mostly for cosmetic reasons.</P> <P> </P> <P>and its a badge of honour having the whole set and gives you a good sense of purpose!</P> <P> </P> <P> </P> <P>have fun and its gonna get harder</P> <P> </P> <P>lol</P> <P> </P>

<DIV>The tent groups over by the oracle tower will spawn them too. I don't know if they are the same level or not, but I believe there are 5 groups of 3-5 there. I was able to do this at 21 with a mystic, but just barely. I doubt you could do it solo at 20. They spawn pretty fast. If a distressed merchant is up, you will need to clear that camp to get another camp to spawn.</DIV> <DIV>Priest classes also need a mob from the respawn around tents, so make sure you /ooc for anyone working on it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Personally, I got the gloves, bracer, and boots (3rd is boots I believe). I kept my carbonite armor till I dinged 30, then upgraded to feyiron. I didn't want to kill centaurs at all due to crafting, and wanted the ability to wander the prime gathering spots in TS without worry of being attacked by them.</DIV> <DIV>The quested is better, but overall, I didnt' feel it was that much better.</DIV>
I actually did this solo at 20 as well and its not easy but it is possible. I cleared the camps outside of Blackburrow several times but I would always have 1 group pop just as I was fighting the last group. Finally after several attempts, I succeeded in getting all four groups dead at the same time. The only reason I was able to do it was because I filled up a blue bar of xp and my HP and Power bars reset to full immediately. I also would save my gnoll mastery skill for the biggest group to kill them as quick as possible. Hope that helps. <div></div>
