Blazing faith question

<DIV><FONT size=2>I was looking at the skill "Blazing faith" trying to figure out what the point is.  It seems to be on the same timer as "faithful swing", but it does a lot less damage and less healing.  The power cost/timing is the same.  Granted it's App4 vs adept1 (for faithful swing), but it just seems so inferior.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>I do notice that the damage it does is devine instead of "melee", but is there something else I'm missing? How do people use "blazing Faith"?</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV>

<P>My comparisons of Faithful Swing and Blazing Faith show a definite improvement of the latter over the former.</P> <P>Here is <A href="http://eq2.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=234" target=_blank>Faithful Swing</A> as app 2 and app 3, and <A href="http://eq2.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=258" target=_blank>Blazing Faith</A> as App 4 and Adept 1. And yes the damage type differs.</P> <P>Actually what may be your problem is that you have not mastered the Blazing Faith spell yet. The numbers will improve as you level, until you hit level 39.  </P> <P>SoE proposes to eliminate the spell progression in the near future; you would have the spell's full power when you first gain it.  </P> <P>I hope this helps. </P>

well other than the skills basically doing the same thing and more, they share recast timers. thats how i tell at least.

<P>Most adept 1's will outshine brand new aquired app 4's. In a level or two that App 4 will be better usually.</P> <P>Blazing faith in general though is a poor art. Very power heavy for very little response in damage and healing. I seldome use it unless I need to use every art I have to max DPS without power worries (which means very seldom).</P>
