i think it has to do with resists. Almost all my spells are adept III or master types and they still never hit to what is advertised. I think that as a lvl 42 you are probably fighting alot of +42 heroic mobs and they would resist at least some of your damage. The only spells that actually cause the damage advertised is decree, sworn, and blessed rush, IMO. My refusal almost always hits around 550 and my sworn a little more. Remember to count your dots, though.

The biggest dissapointed is vengeance. It has no dot..and its supposed to be a really good one, according to the spell.

I think the damage numbers on the spells are base numbers. Also, stre counts towards meele damage. For us wisdom (maybe intel?) dictates spell damage, but I could be wrong.

I agree this is probaly an issue of resist. I had Ad3 Rog and It would hit for +700 most the time. I just upgraded to Master1 Of RoG and I have Hits of 890 with it. Pay attention to each mob and they will give you hints as to their weaknesses.

Knickknac

Permafrost

As was said, all classes listed numbers are off. So, we are not the only ones with this problem.

On the other hand, the fact that the display is false does not change the fact that our spells really do increase in damage. A simple way to tell was to parse before and after. My dps raised quite a bit (though not tremendously) from these upgrades.
