<DIV>I have a 26 Paladin that I played from launch and have been away from the game for several months. I have a few questions and am looking for insight from fellow paladins.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1. I never did the Armor quests and am running around in the shiny platemail I bought at level 20. Should I do the AQ's or is there something I could buy or hunt for that is comparable at this level?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2. Where do I acquire more app 3 spells, the only vendor I know of is the frog who sells the Holy Steed Spell?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>3. Are there any good weapons I should hunt for? I am working on the Ghoul Bane quest now.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>4. How are we at getting groups? Are we wanted, or will I be spending oodles of time lfg?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Any input is appreciated, and feel free to throw in any other useful bits of wisdom as well. Thanks.</DIV>

<P>Shiny Brass Halberd is an excellent weapon for you to obtain, as Trout mentioned.</P> <P>It is a Heritage Quest called <A href="http://eq2.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&file=index&func=display&ceid=130&meid=92#SBH" target=_blank>Dragoon K'Naae of the Thexians</A>; if you click the link you will go to a guide at my guild's website which will walk you through the necessary steps. </P>

At level 26 you can get crude feyiron vanguard armor. But i would recommend against that if you don't have much coin to spare. Otherwise it's best to sit it out till level 30 and go for pristine forged feyiron vanguard armor.</font> </div> <div>2. Best way to get appr. IV spells (Yes, they can now go all the way to Appr. IV) is to look on the broker, or to contact an alchmist online who is looking for work (/who all alchmist LFW) and make a deal with him / her.</font> </div> <div>3. Should I do the AQ's or is there something I could buy or hunt for that is comparable at this level?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm curious which platemail armor you purchased. Based on your statement regarding a Paladin that started at rollout, it's possible you purchased from a starter city or city proper vendor and still have armor with no stat modifiers. If this is the case, you should probably go ahead and upgrade now to some player crafted "carbonite vanguard." If you simply lack the coin (5 gold was a lot of money at rollout and even several weeks-month post rollout for pure adventurers), do the armor quests in Qeynos Harbor - talk to npc named Ian. You may hail guards now (right click) to find virtually any NPC in a town. Either way quested armor (hearth forged) or purchased armor (carbonite vanguard) will suffice through level 30. Plan for a set of feyiron vanguard at level 30 and if you harvest, save any rare feysteel for "elite-class" tier 4 armor.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2. Where do I acquire more app 3 spells, the only vendor I know of is the frog who sells the Holy Steed Spell?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It's good to keep that vendor in mind as you visit again at 50 for a 3 gold 50 silver fluff spell (not much, but a glowing hand). However, it's time to start frequenting the city brokers for all your shopping needs. Although both NQ and SQ have brokers, QH is probably where you'll want to comparison shop. QH contains "Fence" a black market NPC that will allow you to purchase goods from the evil side (Freeport). It's good advice to check the good city broker first, note a price on a item of interest, and then comparison shop on the evil side broker for the best deal.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you enter Qeynos Harbor (QH) from the dock, travel straight towards archway opening (straight ahead) and hang a right. The first NPC located on your right under a tent is the "city merchant--guild related". Go behind the NPC, jump over the wall into the water, and swim 180 degrees behind you (under water). Half way through the tunnel you'll see a crack on the right wall that leads to the black market. The good side broker is across the street from Fishs Alehouse and Inn located under a tent.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When searching for spell upgrades, check for apprentice IV and adept 1 (adept 1 should be better, but some bugs make them near or exactly the same). Purchased based on need and affordability.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>3. Are there any good weapons I should hunt for? I am working on the Ghoul Bane quest now.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You may start the quest for Ghoulbane by visiting Nettleville Hovel. Load into the dock and as you travel up the stairs, the first NPC on your left "Vida Sweeps" grants a quest (eventually) for the Dusty Blue Stone. This is the beginning of the Ghoulbane quest. Eventually, you'll end up inside Stormhold (castle) where an access quest will be required to enter the Tomb of Valor (where weakened ghoulbane is located). So, when you visit Stormhold, try to get a group to help you to the "library" and speak to the librarian early on to start the access quest to the Tomb of Valor (TOV).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You might get lucky and find a quest from a chest drop labeled as "Sword of Thunder." If so, do the quest to receive a reward (nice one-hander with a proc) labeled as Berik's Sword of Thunder. The heritage quest for the Shiny Brass Halbred (SBH) is also a great two-handed axe and yes, Paladins may now equip axes, unlike rollout <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>4. How are we at getting groups? Are we wanted, or will I be spending oodles of time lfg?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you're in a guild, it's usually a good idea to ask if anyone needs a 26 Paladin, or if you want to hunt something particular do a /gu Starting a group hunt in Stormhold for XP in the mid 20's through low 30's--PST. You may turn of your LFG tag, but as a MT, it's pretty easy to build a group of your own, especially if you have a healer on hand when you start building the group.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Any input is appreciated, and feel free to throw in any other useful bits of wisdom as well. Thanks.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Good luck!</DIV>

<DIV>since you should go about with just a 2hander and you wont be getting that ghoulbane completed for many levels (unless you have some nice high level friends). i would recommend a skullcrusher or dwarven sword of cleansing for 1hb and 1hs weapons. berik, sword of thunder is nice but gL finding one, it is rare as hell and highly sought after. (i'd sell mine anyway, ebbc isnt as hot as it once was)</DIV>
