I think it varies depending on what your score in STR, WIS are i.e. the more STR / WIS you have the less it contributes per point, but in general it is 75% Strength, 25% Wisdom.

I'm knew to the paladin class (have a 50 mystic) and I would like someone to please direct me to some numbers that show wisdom does anything for a paladin. I have an SK friend who bought a +10 int hex doll for himself and was dismayed to find that it did nothing whatsoever to his power pool. The same thing happened to my wife (50 monk) who realized around lvl 40 that all the extra agility wasn't in fact giving her any power pool bonuses. The way I understand it, paladins are fighter archetypes and as such their power is influenced by their strength score and nothing else. It is true for guardians, berzkers, monks, bruisers, and shadowknights so I just don't understand the arguments that say that paladins are somehow different. The fact that shields have wisdom/int on them is the same problem with most all of the armor in EQ2 (the cookie cutter effect). From all of that, I just want to see a thread where the numbers show that wisdom matters.

Well i dont have numbers on it but Boli is correct, its around 75% STR, 25% WIS. The reason INT did nothing for your Shadowknight is because shadowknights are also crusaders, and are 25% based of WIS unlike EQL Shadowknights who are based off INT. There IS a 'soft cap' of sorts on power and hp gained from stats at 200. i dont have power numbers, but i'm pretty sure it works the same for power. For example, at 50 my paladin gains *roughly* (i havnt looked in a while) 12hp per STA... as soon as my STA breaks 200 though, the number drops to about 4hp / sta. If you need numbers, i can go grab some, last I actually pair attention to this stuff was about 47 or 48 I think -- Narius Elilas 50 Erudite Paladin Najena

Message Edited by Cedrian on 05-28-2005 07:17 PM

They don't regard a pally's wisdom in EQ2 as much as other rpg's do. I also found it a bit pathetic that a 10+ WIS hex doll only increased my power pool by a miniscule 7 pt's with no other benifits like increased damage. They shouldn't tell you in the book or when your creating your character that wisdom is important for a pally. From what I have seen, it is not that important unless I am missing some other aspect of it.

Message Edited by EricSlicer on 05-29-2005 12:01 PM
