Trying to make some money eh? =), Personally I like to have all my spells/combat arts App 4+, but if you're looking to make Adept III's go with any type of taunt, heal, ward, and possibily Refusal of Grace. -Jeauno lvl 40 Paladin of Nektulos <div></div>

<DIV>I picked up Holy Symbol (an AOE replacement to Flatedge Twirl) when I dinged 49 last night.  The Qeynos broker had 0 upgrades available.  The blackmarket had one adept 1 upgrade for 11 gold and no player crafted apprentice 4 or adept 3.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I would suggest that you print a list of the Paladin spells 40-50 and check both markets over a one week period to determine what is in short supply and what is marketable compared to a potential flood of adept 1's that might hinder your apprentice 4 sales.  I seriously doubt you'll find a flood of adept 1's underpriced, at least not on my server <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>On Najena server, most 40+ Paladin skills, especially our ward/heal/taunt lines are 15+ gold for adept 1's.  I'm a frequent customer to both the good/evil brokers and occassionally see a fair priced < 10 gold upgrade, but it's getting much less frequent.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have noted many spells that are so close between adept 1 and apprentice 4 stats, the difference in a fair priced apprentice 4 greatly outweighs the additional 10-20 gold for an adept 1 for players that aren't overly wealthy.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I purchased the 11 gold Holy Symbol only because I hate having an apprentice 1 and nothing else was available.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When coin was very tight, I worked out a deal with a crafter friend that would make 3-4 levels of my next spell upgrades that I could carry in inventory so I was always at apprentice 4 as soon as I dinged.  Later, I would weigh the advantages/disadvantages to upgrading to adept 1 as time and coin permitted.  Perhaps you could work out a similar deal with some Paladins working their way up the ranks on your server to cut them a discount for purchasing 3-5 levels of spells at once.  I know several other Paladins in my guild that carry app 4's with them for the second they ding and then upgrade later.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I now tend to study the market for spells 3-4 levels above me each time I visit the broker to watch for adept 1 deals that rival or beat overpriced apprentice 4's.  Of course there's not many app 4's or adept 1's left on my purchasing list at 49 (all adept 1 now), but maybe some food for thought for you on turning a profit.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Since I harvest like mad, I have a deal with my guild alchemist for any luminous uncommons I find.  I save them in even pairs, email to the alchy and have him convert them into extracts for me.  He keeps one and emails one back to me (50/50 split).  I like this arrangement because I get a LOT of uncommons and always have a readily available supply of extract for when I do find the imbued ready rares.  Plus I'm a jeweler on the side and it will be nice to have a large stack ready when I can imbue.  Likewise, luminous uncommons on my server are 2 gold or less each now, so there's really no advantage to selling them now for coin gain.  Perhaps you could work out a deal or two like this on your server to keep a supply of extract ready for your equipment rare imbues as well as sell some reasonably priced to run a profit on the broker?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks,<BR>Kalen</DIV>
