<DIV>I chose this training spell at level 30, and after looking at the paladin spell data, it seems to be a very power-efficient non-self healing spell compared to Bless Aid's upgrade spells - Devout Aid and Pious Aid. Does anyone know how this spell scale up beyond level 40? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have considered making Devout Aid Adept III to last thru the 40s, but I would rather use Renars if it scales right up to level 50.</DIV>

<DIV>its the best till you upgrade pious late to adept3, and then its a nice cheaper alternative.</DIV>

I'm a big fan of this spell, it's useful over Devout Aid for a looooong time.
<DIV>im lvl 46 pally and i still use it <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>
can anyone tell me if devout aid shares a timer with the training heal? im a 35 paladin and have sdevout aid adept3 waiting. if it shares a timer im gonna sell it

It shares And just to re-iterate - the Devout Aid I have at Adept 1 heals for 434 for ~100 power at 36.5 (when i just got it) - in comparison the training upgrade heals for 444 and heals for ~85 power. The training upgrade is still improving and will do all the way to 200 Determinded faith (lvl 40). Its a good thing I found the Adept 1 or I might never have upgraded it the training upgrade beats it at every turn. <div></div>

<div></div><div></div>Im still using it at 46 and while on occasions the higher level heal is useful when someone needs health asap, for protracted fights Renar's is very useful as it has a good health-power ratio Renar's Belssed Providence at 46 (Mastered) Heals 498 for 99 mana. 498/99 = 5.03 hp per mana Devout Aid Adept III at 46 (almost Mastered) Heals 646 for 147 mana. 646/147 = 4.39 hp per mana. <div></div><p>Message Edited by TroodonIE on <span class=date_text>05-18-2005</span> <span class=time_text>05:04 PM</span>

Thanks for the info guys. However I still made the Devout Aid Adept 3 since Renars is capped at level 40 and doesnt scale beyond that level. While it is still power-efficient it wont ever heal for more then 498 health.

Indeed, however as a heal its very mana efficient, and thus has value in protracted fights. Though as has been pointed out, the "problem" with Pally healing isnt mana efficency, but rather we can only do it once every 7 seconds - so Priests are hardly out of a job. Mana efficiency becomes an issue when we have to rely upon our heal and buffs for hate generation. <div></div>

<div></div>Id disagree with it being a waste, opals arent that hard to find and even with Renar's to hand, its worth having a bigger heal to deal with damage spikes. Moreover, an adept III Devout Aid will have its role until level 50 and perhaps beyond: an AdeptI Pious aid apparently actually heals slightly less than the Adept III Devout Aid. So unless you're considering the use of a ruby to get an Adept III Pious aid, an opal spent on Adept III Devout Aid seems a wise move. Though of course, the above is all subject to change with the incomming spell scalling changes. <div></div><p>Message Edited by TroodonIE on <span class=date_text>05-21-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:46 PM</span>
