Heya all, lvl 24 wood elf pally here!  I've been hunting in nek forest lately....mostly thrashing through the beach.  I've found several nice items to sell for coin here....allowing me to pick up a fair amount of upgrades.  My armor does not seem to be the problem at my lvl (1200hp at 24), so where should i be fighting to get the best exp these days?  This beach is a bit too easy for my liking, but maybe it's for the best. I prefer to solo, but if there are spots where groups are always gathering, i'd be willing to jump right in!  Thanks for any input. <div></div>

<DIV>At 24 I leveled in two places....Stormhold and Thundering Steppes.  In both areas I solo'd.  In SH, you can do the double up green heroics and in TS, I did a mixture of soloable giants and undead in the river basin.  If you can get two other people you can do the heroic 24-27 giants.  I find at lvl 25 I can tank even the 27 heroic giants provided you have a couple of good damage dealers with you.  The soloable giants give me .15% per kill and are EASY kills with good loot.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am thinking about heading back to SH and soloing deeper there in my 26th season which is not far off.  Finding a SoT quest starter can set you up financially for the next 15 levels.</DIV>

Thanks for the reply.  What is SoT.  Maybe I should go back to stormhold.  That place was rough for awhile that i was in it during my early 20's.  I'm sure that it would be a little easier now.  Like i said in my previous post, I was able to find quite a few items beating down on the beach of nek forest.  I suggest spending a little time there if you feel like it.  The worst thing that happens is that you'll probably make some silver/gold. I have a druid friend that is lvl 20 that i can drag with me.  I'm sure that i can get him good exp slaughtering in stormhold. <div></div>

SoT = Sword of Thunder.  I found two of them there....they are super rare and higher level characters will pay good cash for them since they are needed in a heritage quest.  I sold my second for 3 plat and bought a full suit of pristine imbued feysteel armor.  I'm basically set for the next 15 levels of armor thanks to one drop.  I will go  back to farm for a couple of more that I will sell and horde the plat for ebon armor at 40.

Load up on Nek Forest and Thundering Steppes quests.  At level 24, you should be able to move inland from the beach in Nek Forest. The quests offered by the guys on the Nek beach where the path leads off the beach are pretty good and mostly level 24 quests (at least they start at 24) I think.  Talk to all the npcs in both zones.   Lots of repeatable kill quests as well as more involved ones. Also at 24, if you are in a guild, load up on writs.  Do as many as you can as they are a lot easier now than they will be for the next 5 levels.  Even if you aren't a patron in your guild, they will generate personal status points for you.  <div></div>

Caslav, where can i hunt for that SoT quest item.  It seems well worth my while to hunt where that drops.  As for moving in off of the beach, I find it to be a tough solo due to adds within the forest.  I'll have to figure out where the giants are in TS though.   I hear people speaking of them often, but have yet to find the part of the zone that these roam. <div></div>

Your best bet overall for exp will always be taking the hardest group mobs that you can, like green^^ or something. Find some of them, try taking them, and you might find that you get 1% or more each. The ^^ mobs tend to drop better loot too, so you can make good money doing it. The alternative is to kill lots of yellow or orange solo mobs, which give less exp but you can kill faster. They give worse loot too, but more of it. Either way.

I've been fighting in stormhold the last 2 nights, and the greens are cake.  They take a bit of time, but the exp is worth it.  I've probably done about 3+ hours of playing in there, but haven't had any luck on drops yet.  the blue heroics that are slightly deeper OWN me.   By the way, What is the real benefit of completing  the collections within stormhold? <div></div>

Nek forest is a pretty easy trip through TS.  I'd say the exp is much better in Stormhold though.  unfortunately, i find strormhold to be boring right now.  I can beat up the heroic mobs wtihtou problem, and the other mobs are just too hard to fight.  Maybe I'll run off to Thundering steppes again soon, but i'll stick witih the somewhat fast boring exp that I get in Stormhold for awhile! Pray that I get the quest starter item this weekend! <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>
