<DIV>when i used to play my pally if another member got aggro i used to throw on my shield ward and a heal and bingo the mob would turn back to me and everything is rosy. This was a few months ago.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now (as i have transfered my pally from another server) if i lose aggro I spend the entire fight warding, taunting, healing and using all my other group buffs and right at the end of the mob's health it turns back to me!!! this is with all my spells adept 1</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>situation was in nek castle. Im lvl 35 and a 32 warden and also a 32 zerker kept getting the aggro and tbh I was ashamed as I used to be able to play the MT so well Id laugh when people complained at not keeping aggro.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>using redemption on the zerker didnt make a blind bit of difference.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I noticed faithful zeal used to stay up for 15 minutes or until the ward absorbed the entire damage but now its on a very quick timer and disapears after 5 or so seconds, this broken now?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>so what am i doing wrong? are paladins more gimped hate wise? I was doing the most dps during the time there so I cant figure out why I was having such a hard time getting aggro back.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>thanks</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>This morning I played with a 30 Wizard with myself being a 25 Paladin duoing Giants in Thundering Steppes. We did lvl 25 and 26 heroics. I had no trouble keeping aggro off the wizard...I basically stood there and fired off my damage ward, inflame, Blessed aid on myself and she did 95% of the damage to the mob. The key was for her to wait for me to get up a good bit of hate. We did one 27 heroic, but it got pretty hard, but I still managed to hold aggro.</P> <P>I really think it comes down to how people play in a group. If I am with a Zerker whether above or below me in level, I am more than happy to stand back and let them tank....I'll heal and give all the group buffs I have and don't feel bad about doing it.</P>

Myself a lvl 25 pally when other in group gains agro i whip out blinding light and always get agro back for remainder of fight. So now as the puller is coming back with a mob or mobs i target the strongest with blinding light and whamo hes mine for the whole fight.

<DIV>The problem is the zerker. They have this buff (and I don't know the name of it) but they cast if over and over on themselves during a fight and it's a HUGE agro magnet. I have seen this happen first hand myself. If you get a wizard or ranger or any other DPS doing massive damage on the mob, you likely won't see near the agro that a zerker can generate. </DIV>

I have a 25 berserker alt myself, and almost every single buff I cast with the character grants a chance to proc the berserk state. Offhand, he's got Focus Fury (maintained buff) and a 10-minute duration buff that each grant a 5% chance to berserk when hit, plus an AE taunt that automatically berserks him, plus a 15-minute duration buff that grants a 5% chance to berserk each time he hits a mob. There's also a 10-minute buff the cuts a good 25% health out, but grants an increased berserk effect. <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The berserk state increases DPS by ~5% and attack speed by ~35%, depending on how your buffs are upgraded. It lasts about 5-10 seconds, but procs almost constantly if the Berserker is getting hit at all. Duoing CoD alternate access last night, in every single fight the berserk state always refreshed before it's timer was up. Some buffs also grant a melee proc while in a berserked. Looking at those stats, you can see how if a berserker gets aggro and procs berserk once, they've pretty much got aggro for the remainder of the fight <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV><p>Message Edited by Jgok on <span class=date_text>05-17-2005</span> <span class=time_text>04:09 PM</span>
