Adept3 at lvl 45

Hi I have found a rare item to make a T5 adept 3. Im thinking of making Sworn Strike adept3 for high dmg? what would you do? Regards Sturm <div></div>

<P>That's a tough call to make with lots of options at your level.</P> <P>I would consider some of these options:</P> <P>- Sell the rare and buy all the adept 1's you can afford from the sale (likely to get 1.25 to 2 plat for your rare depending on your server).  This would be a good opportunity to get rid of any apprentice 4's you have that aren't at least adept 1.  I recommend this to a 44 pally on my server that didn't realize he had 2 apprentice 3's, and mostly apprentice 4's with just 1 or 2 adept 1's.  He was very pleased with the decision and now has all but 1 adept 1.  I would also recommend comparing cost first on the black market and then Qeynos Harbor before each purchase.  I burned myself  for 13 gold the other night by buying first in Qeynos Harbor something I rarely see on the boards that happend to be cheaper on the black market by a large margin.</P> <P>- Sell the rare and invest in more equipment that increases your STR, STA and AGI.  Perhaps prices are on par with your server for an even sell of your ruby or rhodium cluster for a trade on an ebon or with some coin to boot.  It might be that some of your gear is still dated that you could increase significantly if you shop around with spare coin.</P> <P>- If you already have a good range of at least adept 1's and likewise have top-notch gear, go for the adept 3.  I believe the personal upgrade would depend greatly on your play style.  If you solo all the time, obviously your short cast heal would be a potential nominee for the upgrade.  I would be cautious with the proposed dps reduction to tank classes regarding spending a lot of coin on a spell that might in all honesty be considered by many as gimped after a profession change.  If you group a lot and MT a lot, I seem to always "get back my aggro" when lost through my prayer even more so then my "Call to Glory" so I might consider that as an option.</P> <P>I personally have no adept 3's at the moment as I sell all my rares (sans the STA t5 hex doll I just had made from my figwart root) to raise coin to bank for gear and equipment.  I managed to find an armorsmith on my server in Freeport that charged 30 gold to convert my ebon cluster and luminous extract into a pristine imbued ebon breastplate.  I did not think it would make a major difference in my abilities, but mobs that used to hit 20 to 40 percent of the time seem to miss me nearly the entire battle now.  It might just be coincidence, but it was very consistent the other night on 43 ^^ mobs in Lavastorm.  I was rarely healing myself if at all in battle.  I'm working on leggings now to go with my BP when I find my next Ebon.  I have a ruby on the market now and if it sells, I'll be in the position with additional coin I have banked to imbue the matching bottoms <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>Good luck with your decision!</P> <P>Kalen</P> <p>Message Edited by SanJun on <span class=date_text>05-10-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:06 AM</span>

If you solo a lot, then I could see you going for either Swarn Strike, or Refusal of grace...if you are grouping a lot then I would suggest Clarion Call or Benediction.... That is of course just my suggestion, as I would look into upgrading other stuff, or hold onto the ruby/rhodium until after I hit L50 <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />   <div></div>

I have the same delemma i bought an master 1 of clarion call so this spell is ruled out but what spell will i upgrade to adept 3? i solo alot, i group alot, first i thought of Divine touch, the new LoH heal, as i do not seem to find any update on the market for it but then again it's only useable every 30 mins so maybe the lvl 50 spell heal (Pious Aid)? i guess this would be the best choice ! What do you all think? <div></div>

Personally, I held off on making Adept 3 until I was level 50 to figure out which spells I would use most.  My Adept 3's are currently: Clarion Call Zealous Preaching Redemption Pious Aid I'm sure I'll get some more upgraded as I see the need.  Though currently, my switch is set to "hoard money" mode, especially after spending 3.5 plat on upgrades to a single resist hehe. <div></div>
