If you have Bloodlines, that is a good place to solo after you go deeper into it.

Try the bears, stags, spiders, and giants in Western EF. The giants are level 46, stags are 44-45, spiders are 44, and the bears range from 43 to 49.

Best place i found when i was lvl 42 to solo was to solo the green ^^ blightrats in RV. These gave great XP, great chest drops and there was plenty to kill

I got Marta's Fur Hunt (or whatever the quest is called) asking for Northern Stags. I would kill the Icy Terrors on my way to that area and kill the Stags, run back and turn in the quest, and rinse and repeat. I forget how much experience the quest gave at that level. At 45, though, it was giving 1% per completion. It provided a good experience solo mechanism all the way until I reached 50.

Echoing the Blightfang ^^ in Rivervale for great XP with a chance for some serious loot drops in chests including Shimmering Star Breastplate, Jumjum Stained Necklace, some very nice weapons, adepts galore, etc. You are the perfect level at 42 to take down most of the zone in a group setting, so solo with your LFG up. If you get in a duo/trio situation, check for the named scarecrow "Shakey" in the fields across the bridge--always great drops and always a chest. I spent most of my 41-46 days in Rivervale and that zone owns for harvests in tier 5, lots of nice quests, etc.

I would suggest entering the last house in the scarecrow fields for the quest in the stove of killing 50 lamias, likewise you can start the level 40 heritage "By Hook or By .." which is in the back of the zone. The access quest for the Tower of Drafling is fun and one of my favorite zones in the low to mid 40's. Sir Tatters has about 5 quests total with the last two taking place in Rivervale (dealing with moppets) and the last one for a great helmet inside the Tower of Drafling. The Nightbloods in the back of the zone are all 42 and 43 ^^ and often come in groups of 2 with one ^^ and one ^.

Cazic-Thule has a lot of great group XP to offer including some pretty detailed and lengthy quests. Coin gain and loot drops are plentiful! You would make a good MT and especially good OT in a group with one other tank and a healer @ 42.

You also now have instant access to Lavastorm and Everfrost which both offer even more adventuring options.

Welcome to the fun world of "what shall I do tonight?"

Thanks,
Kalen

At my level in RV I can solo the L40ish ^^ and group ^ Lamia', crows, etc, and get decent xp without them touching me. (using my EBBC), but it gets even better in a duo. Pretty much right now, I am spliiting time between harvesting/killing solo in RV and group killing in CT. At L42, like numerous posters have said, Rivervale is the best place to be...you might also try the solo nightbloods in the north Eastern part of Enchanted Lands, since if they are not camped you get a decent .2 - .3 per kill and they go easily.
