hmmmm I was thinking, does anyone know if I could cast redemption on myself to give ME more hate opposed to casting it on someone else? <div></div>

<DIV>IMHO..  this is a no brainer.  [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot].  It is not a hate generator.  Read the text.  It transfers hate generated to the paladin.  i.e. a wizzie does 100 points of hate generation.  A pally has redemption on the wizzie.  At adept 3, 35% of that hate is transferred to the paladin.  i.e. 100*.35=35.  So now, 100-35=65.  Rather than producing 100 points of hate the wizzie produces 65 points.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>PLease read the text of the skill before posting nonsense questions like this.  </DIV>

I could have sworn I put this on myself the other day.  Anyhow the whole point is to get agro from someone thats gaining more agro.  If you have the most agro in the group it doesn't matter. <div></div>

just in case you are wondering, casting redemption on another pally who has redemption on someone else didn't seem to transfer the hate 2 "hops" (I've tried). <div></div>

Additionally this drains hate from someone in the group and gives it to you. Put it on a high DPS caster or that warden or fury. Put it on someone you do not WANT getting aggro. That way your aggro goes up, theirs goes down and they STAY below you on the hate list.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>On Int casters this is very nice as they can nuke a little more for better DPS and still have lower aggro if you play right.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So yes, even if you have the best aggro in group without it, it is a VALUABLE too in any case as it lets the group ramp up it's out put since your total hate is that much higher and the one your draining off of is that much lower.</DIV>

I love redemption, I use it constantly at 48. I was tanking a group the other day in PF and put it on the 50 wiz with us. We tried, and if I did my standard taunt, buff, ward, stun, etc. routine he couldn't pull agro off me even going full tilt. Not worth it to make an ad3 though, as the ad1 is 33% and the ad3 is 35% if I remember right.

<DIV>I do not use redemption until I start having aggro management problems.  Usually, I try to identify the root of the problem and address the issue quickly depending on the situation causing aggro management issues.  Most of the time the issue revolves around one of two possibilities--1. The group member didn't let you build any hate before they nuked or 2. The group member is dishing out serious DPS or having to chain heal that is stealing your aggro.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am a HUGE fan of redemption and keep it handy at all times even though I don't use it a lot.  However, it's ALWAYS solved my aggro management issues when called upon.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks,</DIV> <DIV>Kalen</DIV>
