Found Sword of Thunder ie...The Precious

<DIV>So after really a minimal amount of time I got this drop this morning from a Level 20 Heroic Defiled Knight....a couple of books also in the chest drop as well.  So now (at level 23), I am wondering what I should do with it...sell it or keep it.  I am leaning toward keeping it, since I play at a slow pace, I think it will be nice to have around.  However, I am continually poor and I don't like being poor! <P>You may want to use it Poor Pally.  Berik Sword of Thunder si a nice weapon for many levels for you.  And will cost you nothing, just do the quest.  Then, down the road, if you want to do the EBBC you are gtg.</P> <P> </P>

<P>I would actually sell it if I were you. Especially because you level slowly. It could be months before you even get to use it - by then it could be:</P> <P>a) worthless</P> <P>b) no longer the best weapon you can afford</P> <P>c) your third drop of the item</P> <P>d) easily affordable to you in any case</P> <P>e) all of the above</P> <P>In the meantime, they sell for 4-5 plat currently. You could have top notch gear up to very high levels for multiple characters off that sale.</P> <P>They don't usually make the best items more rare in these games - if anything they add new, better items over time. I recommend living in the now.</P>

Pretty much I MT anyway so I use my SBS with a 1h'er, in which case I am normally not needed to do DPS so buying a 3plat 1h sword doesn't make sense.... I have mined 1 Ebon, and that went to the EBBC....though a guildie gave me a great deal on another ebon, so that made my Imbued Chest....next one I get will be for the Imbued Legs (since I have like 10 luminous extracts <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />) and then I will prob sell anymore ebon I get, since when the next expansion comes out I am guess new armor will also come out.   </span><div></div>

<P>Not sure what your point is, but regardless of the price of ebon (1000p for all that matters), you can either A. make a weapon out of it, or B. make a piece of armor out of ti or, what's pertinant to discussion here C.  complete EBBC.</P> <P> </P> <P>In my opinion C is not an attractive option.</P>

Well I found a second SoT, dropped off a Defiled Knight in the quartermasters room.  I checked the broker this morning and there was one listed for 11p!!!!  Obviously, I am selling this one <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<P>The EBBC is a pretty decent two-hander.  However, by the time you can equip it Prismatic isn't that far down the road which is a superior weapon.</P> <P>I have spent volumes of time in SH (know it very well and need no maps).  However, I have never even seen a chest drop with the item so to me it's more rare of a drop then ebon.  However, I've heard stories of players seeing three in an evening.  I plan to use my next ebon (one now waiting for BP) for leggings so I'll likely skip this heritage for awhile.  There are a lot of good weapons (at your level get the dwarven sword/hammer of cleansing for a nice one-hander and great XP along the way).</P> <P>The Inert Blone Bladed Claymore (should you have an ebon cluster handy) is very similar to the EBBC sans the proc which isn't that amazing with max proc damage < 100 points.</P> <P>Thanks,<BR>Kalen</P>
