Hi all <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> My alt is a lvl 26 paly. Im planning ahead by farming for the sword of thunder, because its upgradable. however, Ive spent a ton of time searching for it, and have come up empty handed. Im getting very very tired of SH. The price of this sword on the market is way to high 2-4p on Guk. What im wondering is if there is something out there for high level (1 handed edge) that might be better, or just as good as the upgraded sword of thunder (bone bladed claymore). I really want a 1 handed sword, but after spending so much time in SH, ill consider other weapons heh Thanks ahead for any helpful replys <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

<DIV>The Dwarven Sword of Cleansing should still be a yellow or white con one hander.  It requires the access quest to Firemyst Gulley and a quest from the dwarven encampment inside, but it is UBER fun with a group of 18-20's.  I know the sword is orange at 20, so at 26 it's probably white or blue come to think of it now.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You could also try farming centaurs in TS for Starfall, a one-handed mace that is a chest drop.  I found a semi-static spawn for its drop near the skelly pits on the way to ROV.  However, you need to cross the road by the tower and head towards the gap in the mountain that leads to a bridge over the Dead River area.  The first centaur hunter at the opening of the valley dropped a chest 3/7 times in two days for our groups, but that was some time back.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You can always use player crafted goods as an option.  Depending on coin, it would possible to purchase at 26 a shaped imbued feysteel longsword from tier 4 or the common shaped imbued feyiron longsword.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Your current level is appropriate for starting the long series of mini quests for Weakened Ghoulbane and ultimately Ghoulbane, both equippable at level 32.  Go to Nettleville Hovel and speak with Vida Sweeps to start the "Dusty Blue Stone" quest.  Likewise, start the access quest from the Librarian in the basement of Stormhold.  One quest will tell you to pickup Weakened Ghoulbane (requires access to the Tomb of Valor in SH) while the second quest will grant the access to make the first possible <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I used Ghoulbane through level 40 (also like 1-hand long swords), but after it conned green I used my first ebon cluster to imbue a pristine imbued ebon longsword which is very nice and procs much more then I anticipated.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Good luck!</DIV> <DIV>Kalen</DIV>

At level 26 forget the sword... Starfall, Starfall, Starfall.  It's such a great weapon!  Keep using it even when it turns blue / green.  There isn't much better for a while.  And while you have your Starfall, start working the dusty blue stone....  To be honest, I can't even remember the wepon I moved to after Starfall....  Can't even remember the level, but I'm pretty sure it was around 30 or 32.  I think I still had it in EL when I first arrived. <div></div>

<DIV>So true starfall was with me for ages, used it till it was green. It was replaced by a "pristine imbued feyiron long sword" at 1.7 speed an awesome proc. If i had the cash i'd spring it on a feysteel cluter for a feysteel imbued longsword. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

i DID have the cash for a feysteel imbued longsword. if i remember right it does the same damage as starfall but with better stats, a proc, and a good bit faster

<P>Start the dusty blue stone quest and get Ghoulbane. Start mining for rares or save money and buy a steel CLUSTER, feysteel CLUSTER or ebon CLUSTER (I stress cluster because some peopel try to sell rare ingots that look exactly the same but are 100% useless for making weapons with) or any of the monster drop items that are used like these and have a weaponsmith make you a rare, imbued sword.</P> <P>On Antonia Bayle you can get a Pristine Imbued Steel Longsword made which is actually fractionally BETTER than Berik for about 17 gold if you buy the components and give them to a weaponsmith. For far less (usually 2.5-5 gold for the smith to make it) if you forage up the items yourself.</P> <P>Talk to a weaopnsmith on your server and see what pricing is like. Also check your server brokers to see what the costs are on rares on your server. Lastly, remember that if their room is listed on the broker, you can go to that persons inn room and buy the item off  of them and save the 20% broker fee.</P>

starfall comes from a quest obtained from a Jagged Piece of Metal that you get as a drop from mobs in thundering steppes. or you could buy one for 4-5g (on befallen server)

The quality shown on imbued weapons is only for the imbuement, not for the weapon itself, which means, that the skill needed does not scale down to lower levels. A shaped imbued feysteel longsword would still be a pristine level 30-40 weapon, just that the proc would be of shaped quality, which means it is <b>a lot</b> worse than the proc of a pristine imbued weapon. </span><p>Message Edited by Harovan on <span class=date_text>04-27-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:18 PM</span>

<DIV>Also no self respecting weaopnsmith would make a rare weapon less than pristine. To even think so shows the buyer has FAR FAR FAR too much money. Heheh.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
