<div></div>I was reading some of the threads in the combat section and came across a few stating that some combat arts damage have been lowered. Naturally my curiosity kicked in and I had to check. My current level is 37. Here are some examples. Oath Strike - 124-151 dmg, 26-32 dmg, 41-52dmg every 2 seconds for 6 seconds. Previously the main hit was averaging 250-300. Vengeance - 46-77 dmg. Holy sunder - 41-69 dmg, 43 every 6 seconds for 18 seconds. However, Divine vengeance, Omen of battle, and Implacable Wrath are the same. It seems only melee arts are being affected and not "spells." I hope they fix this soon cause... ouch. 17 <div></div>
doom judgement went from 300+ to 150 also <div></div>
PS my alts are lookin more promising every new patch <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

lets just hope that they dont plan on lowering or dmg to those values <div></div>

<P>Well - if they do lower the damage we can do - than it's the final change for me. Than it will be time to taste WOW - there's more than eq2.</P> <P>I was angry about the craft system; I was angry they lowered the speed of our horse and now this maybe?</P> <P>No more!</P> <P>I played EQ2 5-6 hours each day and I think I will lose some dear friends; but I've seen WOW (my son is playing that) and I can assure you all - it may look more childish - but that game has more potential IMO.</P> <P> </P>

<P>Devs posted that its just a display bug and that were actually still hitting for the previous numbers.</P> <P>My Sworn Strike Adept III still hits for +600 and my Adept III Refusal hits for around +550...so it might be a lower lvl spell display bug. My doom still hits for 350 as well (cant wait to get it adept III, i saw the recipe out there) and it does hit against EPIC mobs, Try it out, you'll like the results!</P> <P> Maybe they fixed the display bug by the time I logged in.</P> <P>I do know that they fixed the DOT's on our AE's..at least the +42 lvl ones, because we killed Arch Lich Udalan yesterday and I was doing some DPS. I saw my DOT's over and over again. </P> <P>It was a religious experience. <div></div>It's an AOE DD spell with a pretty high damage on a medium (IMO 5 min) timer. The recipe can be quested within the first Adventure pack. Look up your broker, the scroll usually sells for a few gold pieces. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Harovan on <span class=date_text>05-12-2005</span> <span class=time_text>04:33 PM</span>

There is no free App I of it, but you can buy the App II from a vendor at the falls after you win favor with them, or the App IV/Adept III from a player. I haven't seen many for sale recently, it seems the buzz on them died down, but I really like the spell now that it doesn't share a timer with anything.<p>Message Edited by WAPCE on <span class=date_text>05-12-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:36 AM</span>

<DIV>Yes even though DJ is blue to me now at L46, I still use it when I have more then 3 mobs in a group that I am tanking...since it never fizzles anymore for me, and it seems to hit more often now then it used it, I like being able to take 300+ damage off of my adds without having to have another player in my group target them.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I purchased my AppIV the first time I saw it, and if you see it for 3-4g or less it is a nice addition IMHO. </DIV>
<P>My theory on the 'display bug' is that is actually what they are testing on the test server.</P> <P>I think that is what they are dropping those to in an effort to balance our DPS and lower us to third in the archetype tree.</P> <P>As for the WoW comment, go to the WoW boards. Lots of upset folks there as well. WoW is bigger but not better from what I am reading. They are reaping the rewards of their past client base all flocking to the new thing, and the fact that many many EQ1 players left angry with all the last minute nerfing and changes that were made and some were just ready for a change. Most of my old guild went to WoW. Lead by angry Enchanters who lost most of thier tools in the OoW expansion. SOE has a much longer and stronger track record for MMO's. My money says WoW is a flash in the pan and EQ2 will continue to be viable for 5+ years. But who knows.</P> <P>Harry Chapin says it best "Sometimes you can drive 10,000 miles and still stay right where you are."</P> <P>This grass looks plenty green to me.</P>

<DIV>Hey Sun Tsu? This thread is almost a MONTH old. This WAS a display bug on live that has already been fixed.</DIV>

I think what we saw in description only may very well be what we see in actual damage after the rebalancing.</P> <P>For those of you who will be upset by this drop in Tank DPS, look at the number of tanks in your guild/on your server. Waaaay too many tanks. The reason why is they are great classes in EQ2. They need a tone down IMO.</P> <P> </P>
