I'm fast approaching this choice too, any advice would be good to hear.  I am leaning toward Herion's since I do both solo and group play.  I tend to use a 1-h weapon and shield most of the time.

I would go with Righteous anger... Arem's used to be the easy choice as you could use it with 1h weapons but they fixed/nerfed it recently so its no longer the uber choice... <div></div>

I think Arem and Chesguard are the only two choices. Arem did not get nerfed, it got fixed, if you examined it you knew it didn't work like it was intented. Still I would pick Arem coz it gives +health on a succesful hit. As to increase hate, I've no problem in generating it, hehe, and you get hate by you buffs, e.g. Redemption. <div></div>

<DIV>arems comes in handy at higher levels, the others will not. i dont know how much agro chesgards gives because you couldnt examine spells back when i first chose that. but when /respec came out, i took arems. at 45, i use arems when im OT to heal up and barrage or random damage i may pick up in combination with the faithful swing line. (wont steal agro like heal/ward might, an saves healer mana)</DIV><p>Message Edited by Titaliss on <span class=date_text>04-19-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:10 AM</span>

<DIV><STRONG><FONT color=#ff0000>Chesgard's Divine Portent</FONT></STRONG> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Why? Because it is usefull 100% of the time. An dyou will get FAR more damage in crease from the DD than from the proc. You can activate the DD at will and as needed. The proc is totally random. It may not even ever fire in a battle. An ipgrade is no good if it isn't semi reliable.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You can use it soloing for more DPS. Always better. You can use it grouping for more DPS and aggro while tanking. Always better.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I tend to choose training abilities on what I get the absolutely most use from, therefore I shy away from the lay hand upgrades, since if your playing good you seldom actualy NEED to use it. Why blow a free adept II on an ability your only going to use occasionally.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I wanted to get the 2H attack upgrade, I really did, but in the end I realised Chesguards I can use with one or two handers, whiel tanking and soloing and it is always a help. So that is what went with.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I also usually feel that the best defense is a good offense and my training choices reflect that. Soloing more DPS is a great help Grouping more DPS = more aggro and monsters dead faster. Again a big help.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At 30 I was tempted to get the direct heal upgrade but I already had the regular one at adept three, so I took the DD that interupts casting and have not regretted it once. Having charge, our group shield interupt and that has been pretty darn handy to shut down casting mobs cold.</DIV><p>Message Edited by GilfalasElaandrin on <span class=date_text>04-19-2005</span> <span class=time_text>02:01 PM</span>

<P>If you solo a lot, go with Arem's and a nice 2her.  It has extremely low power cost, hits very hard, and heals for a significant amount. </P>
