is it just me or is there something wrong with display of devotion

you all have seen it, your ward takes upto whatever dmg you can handle, and on the last hit, this HUGE lightening bolt hits you for 400 dmg. and you are wondering where the hell that came from. well. any explanations? is that just part of the spell animation? or is there something wrong with the spell? i honestly have no idea. <div></div>

<div></div>I think its kind of the same deal as divine vengeance.  Notice when you cast it,  a lightning bolt also hits you and gives you the short strength increase that doesn't work.  I'm guessing that when the ward dies,  the same sort of bolt comes down and gives you the strength increase for a short time.  I am not high enough level yet to see it in action but that would be my guess.  I pray its doing 400dmg to your ward at the end of it and not 400 dmg to you,  else that is a pretty icky bug.  17 <div></div>

<P>I've never seen Display of Devotion cause damage at the end of the spell. Its possible that, since it only wards you for somewere around 500 or so, that a nuke was half absorved by the ward and other half hit you for 400, causing the lighting effect to hit you...or maybe ur ward went down at the exact time as u got hit by a nuke.</P> <P>Sometimes when I run around permafrost solo, i just keep warding myself and the giants will nuke me. If they hit me when my ward is almost down, it will take my ward and cause damage,. That might be what you're looking at.</P> <P>Uzhiel, lvl 50 Paladin, Eternal Chaos, Faydark.</P>

Does anyone get the increase str buff when this spells wears off??   spell says cast devotion as spell wears off inc str by 9... have yet to see this, seems a useful and good idea..
