This is a question coming from a Templar. Does all of Pally's "taunt/aggro" moves have a graphical flame to all the enemies? If not all have flames, which moves are taunt type? (please tell me what combat motion or graphical effect is shown - I don't know by name) I ask this cos I am always playing with a pally friend, but never see flames on the enemy - but more bashing w/ shield and smite moves. So I am just wondering if the pally is doing AE taunt or even single taunts. I never see AE taunt flames on the multiple mobs b4. Cos when fighting the mob keep turning their attention to another L38 zerker, then back to the L38 Pally.

When I taunt, the mob turns a red color for a couple seconds. And if they are a humanoid type, they get a constipated look, like they're trying to squeeze one out.

yes, both pally taunts have the standard flame animation on them. it IS possible for pallies to hold aggro by chaining skills without taunting in small groups, but probably not with a zerker or fury (or a few other classes) in group.

What setting are you guys playing on? I can only use high performance, and sometimes balanced... haven't really seen any flames. The mob usually just gets red.

The sheild bash line is a taunt as well.

It gives a stun graphic, a swirl of green like birds or something flying around the head of the recipient.

OK, first on extremem performance or low performance setting, you will not see the effects of another player's taunts, or not most the time anyways.

Two, in a duo, I wouldnt imagine he owuld have to taunt very much if at all, especially if he is using his group buffs, which generate more hate than taunts.

Three, shield bash line is a group taunt/stun

If he is losing aggro consistently, or ever, ask him about it. If not, then I wouldnt suggest worrying or losing sleep over it.

I quite regularly tank in full groups without ever taunting or using a taunt HO, (may play off someone elses HO for some added hate on occasion) and rarely or never lose aggro.
