<DIV>While wandering around the city, naturally I contracted the plague. I hear in /ooc that priests can cure it. This got me thinking... why can't paladins cure disease in this game? Its always been a staple of paladin skills in just about every genre: to be very resistant to disease and also to be able to cure some forms. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm not asking to have a cure disease spell added now, but maybe we can put a bee in the dev's bonnet for a future adventure pack or expansion. I'd like to be able to cure diseases. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>17</DIV>

<DIV>From what little research I have done, it seems that anyone with a disease resist of about 1500+ stays immune.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This is only comparing level 50 characters, but could be the same from everyone</DIV>

<P>Honestly? The EQ 2 Paladin lost some of their curative ability, specializing in supplimentary wound repair, and got a ton of tankability and firepower in return.</P> <P>Our lack of diversity in curative ability works for what we are supposed to be in EQ2: Tanks that put out heavy damage and act as supplimentary healers.</P> <P>While I conceptually agree with the OP, I think our balance, as it is, in EQ 2 is REALLY good and I am having a BLAST playing. I don't want to see that change or be 'rebalanced' to add in another ability.</P> <P>That said, obviously, I wouldn't refuse a cure power if it was added if I knew it would never be used down the road as an excuse to 'rebalance' our currently, VERY GOOD, melee balance.</P>

Of all the tanks, I feel we are the most balanced in our skills. I don't think they'd have to rebalance anything if they gave us a form of cure. Its not a powerful ability really, more just a convenience. I don't expect to cure like a priest would, but I'm old school I guess <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Later on down the line if there is room for a cure spell for us, I won't be sad <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> </P> <P>17</P>

44 Paladin and I really feel the power! Paladins can hang in there for long fights. Other than disease traps, I have not found myself wanting to cure disease or poison while soloing. I don't miss it that much.Especially since we got axes and great axes back!
