View Full Version : Hunter's Instinct...how to use it???
<DIV>Hi,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am calling all Paladins who chose Hunter's Instinct as a racial ability.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I just levelled 34 and was offered another race choice. Among all the options I went for Hunter's Instinct assuming that I would have gained a spell like rangers to track down enemies or NPCs but, on the contrary, once I made my choice I did not gain anything.</DIV> <DIV>When I check my knowledge book there is nothing new listed there.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Usually when we get new racial trainings like Unsheated Claws or Grafe's Measured Strike, for example, we gain an extra ability that is "physically" present in the the knowledge book.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This time I got nothing!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is it a bug I should report to or is it supposed to be like that? May be I should press something on the keyboard to activate it???</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Basically can you please explain how it works?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks in advance for your help.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Qerra, lvl34 Paladin, lvl22 Jeweler, Highkeep</DIV>

What was the description of the ability? Some are a permanent stat or skill increase, thus you wouldn't see any sort of hotkey. 17 <div></div>
<DIV>Thanks Prisoner,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I don't remember the description but it gives +5 to Tracking if I remember correctly.</DIV> <DIV>I still don't understand what it does though. Yes, I have now +5 to tracking but it is something I've never used before and never actually had an icon for it either, so the confusion is: "How can I see the difference compared to...what? what about before getting it, was the tracking ability hidden somewhere?".</DIV> <DIV>Or even better, how can I track something if I am not a ranger class/subclas???</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I posted this because I remember many months ago someone posting a similar topic on the forums and blaming that he could not actually see whether it was working or not but I can't locate that post any longer <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks anyway for your answer Prisoner, it's probably as you say, it is there but it is not actually physically visible!</DIV>

<P>It would seem to me that since we don't have track as ability this is useless to us. You may try <STRONG>/respec</STRONG> to see if you can go back through all your choices again and choose something else. I don't know if you can still use /respec it was something they allowed us to do a few months back b/c of this very same situation. I do know you can only do it once, so if you have already done it you're S.O.L.</P> <P> </P> <P>HTH,</P>
<P>Tx Nurta,</P> <P>I guess /respec is the only option <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>I hope I do remember how I got STR and AGI so high!!!</P>
