Just a quick tip to all you perpetually poor people like me. You can usually find paladin spells on the freeport black market for a fraction of what you can find them for on the qeynos broker. There are no paladins in freeport (obviously) so there is much less demand, and prices are low. Often I'll see several adept 1 skills for 5g-7gp on the qeynos broker, run to the fence and check, and even with the 40% markup, prices are between 1g-3g. For those like me who are always pinching their coppers, I hope this helps

17

bah if only i knew where it was

In Qeynos Harbor, you jump in the canal and swim into the tunnel under the gateway to the dock area. There is a break in the wall, swim into it and up the well. The fence is in that room.

You recommend a Paladin to seek advantage from clandestine dealings with Lucans evil scum, using dubious services located in Qeynos' underworld? You aren't much of a roleplayer, are you? :smileywink: :smileyvery-happy:

Well personally this Paladin finds it ironic that the citizens of his former city, whom are still trapped under under the yoke of Lucan's oppresion, behave in a more hospitable manner to one another than the so called "good" countrymen of Qeynos, whom typically seem to be more than willing to gouge and profiteer. :p

This is sad but in many cases true. However, us holy warriors should certainly abstain from dubious deals like this.

On the other hand, one of my employees ((my woodworker alt)), has been reported visiting this dubious service quite often. He is a halfling rogue, whom I took in my attendance out of pure mercy and to show him the light of the right way. Should I ever catch him, I shall surely punish him!

Never did care much for the Norrath gods, so I tend to fall back on good old Norse Mythology. Handy thing about them is about the only way you can truly annoy most Norse Gods, other than by consorting with Giants, is to show cowardice in battle. Buying things that let you do better in battle, especially against the hated Giants, is not a problem. Plus we get to curse in the name of our gods...which can be quite satisfying.
