I hadn't read up on the pally path quest (argh) and killed my 25 gnolls and went to turn them in and was ported to next part which was an instance to save some villagers. I was doing a good job killing gnolls but got aggroed by three yellows and couldn't get out. I died and it sent me to windstalker village. Now I can't figure out where the instance was and how to get my spirit shard back to finish quest. Do I have to do it all over again? Do I delete whole pally path quest and start over or is there a place to reclick to get back into that instance zone? help pls and thanks

There's an easy solution: Go to the NPC in NQ again, he will teleport you again to this instance. Your shard is still there. Get it and be more careful this time about aggro. You can do your task with only a few, pulled kills. Avoid the patrols. You can't handle them at level 19.

Have you tried talking to that NPC on the stairs in NQ again? The one that sends you to that zone. Oh, if you die while saving the villagers then you are doing smth wrong coz that quest is embarrassing easy compared to some other classes. Tip: kill selectively

Dont delete the quest, just try re-hailing Delacar Mithanson which should take you back to the instance. Hopefully within it you'll see your spirit shard. Should it not be were you died, I suggest not completing this step of the quest, but first /petitioning a GM for a spirit shard recovery stating that your shard is unrecoverable and outlining the problem.

Or just wait three days for your shard to deteriorate so you won't be underpowered the next time you enter the instance to make your next attempt at it.

The actual location for your hallmark quest is a special solo zone instance in Antonica. The location is called "Vale of Shattering". You may locate the vale by traveling due north from Stormhold. If you study the map and notice what the route to Stormhold looks like, you'll see a second route just like the one to Stormhold that is directly north--i.e. the Vale of Shattering.

Unfortunately, you would not be able to retrieve your shard by visiting the location as it's a zoned instance. However, it's always interesting to note, IMHO, where the event is actually taking place. As stated previously, speak with Delacar in North Qeynos to zone back into the instance to retrieve your shard--anyone tried right clicking Delacar to recover a shard like you do at dock bell? Just curious if that works.

Thanks,

Kalen

Thank you very much for your help. I did figure it out too hehee. First I ran around the zone all night checking for an entrance to the instance.. hehe yes I'm blonde LOL... then I finally went back to the NPC thinking I had to start over and he ported me back into the instance where my body was still waiting for me to absorb hehe. thank you everyone
