<DIV>They mentioned new spells in the adventure pack, but I was skeptical at first.  However, I've seen several App4 of a new AoE attack for sale (<STRONG><FONT color=#ffff99>10g</FONT></STRONG> though, too rich for my blood).  Well, I think it's new...I don't have the actual spell in my book but the scroll conned orange to me, I think.  Is there a list of the discovered ones available somewhere?</DIV>

<P>>.></P> <P>What ever could you mean.</P> <P><.<</P> <P>The scroll in question was down to 5 gold today; the description says it deals crushing damages and lowers mob DPS by 2% (yes, it actually calls it damage per second).  I'm going to break down and buy it tonight.  Sounds nice.</P>

<div></div>You buy the app2 spell from the merchants at the Hand of Marr or The Brethren after completing the 3rd quest in the Timber Falls (symbol/artifact hunting depending on faction). They also sell the recipes for making up to app4 and adept3 of these class spells. There's one for each type (crusader, warrior, brawler, enchanter, sorceror, summoner, bard, predator, rogue, shaman, druid, cleric). Personally I find 2% dps reduction minimal. At app4 and at lvl 40 it does approx 400dmg for 153 power. A bit power heavy but possibly useful. If its like other AoEs where it'll hit a max of 5 targets then the most it can ever do is 400 dmg for 30power to each mob (equivalent). Not bad but not great. I'd spend a few gold on this but nothing more, I doubt you'll use it much. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Alluin on <span class=date_text>03-23-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:11 PM</span>

<P>I don't know what I did to incur the wrath of <EM>two</EM> people rating; it was just a harmless question.  But anyway.</P> <P>Sounds reasonable.  I noticed it was based off Faith skill, rather than Determined Faith, so I assume Shadowknights can use it too?  Maybe I should have asked them; they would have been more hospitable perhaps.  :smileytongue:</P>

<DIV>The new ablities all seem to be class-based, and not sub-class based.  At least this first set of abilities appear to be.  So, both Crusader sub-classes get the same ability.  I've heard that there is another ability available once  you've finished more of the Adventure Pack's quests.  No information on what those are yet, however.</DIV>

<DIV>Oh, it was just a couple 1-star bandits targeting me. I hope.  I'm trying to break that 4.0 average rating again, see.  If I couldn't do it in college, I might as well do it now.  :smileytongue:</DIV>

I picked up the APP IV of Doom (something can't remember).  At lvl 38 it con's orange.  As stated above reduces attack speed of MOBs by 2%  And inflicts 388 Crushing damage.  (Doesn't work on epic encounters) I rounded up some green Vally Deer in Zek...  Hits them for 268 ish each.  Spell has a good animation too.  AOE (out of encounter), that shares that same timer as Unyeilding Conviction...  300 second recast timer.  Seems to me to be a good AOE when starting an encounter in a group.  Deals a good chuck of damage right away to start that hate generation...  I haven't used in a group yet, but plan to tonight. <div></div>

Yeah, I like it quite a bit. Long timer, so it's not something you can throw out every fight, but would be useful against nameds with buddies and the like to build some agro and decrease the dps even by that little bit. Paying 10g for it is insane, it's no harder to make than the other T4 combat arts, which my alchemist sells for about 1g. It's just brand new and people are trying to cash in on the huge number of people that want it. I made a pile of them to hand out to guildies and didn't even charge, since they only cost like 20s to make. The warriors (guards and zerks) get a new skill that, if they die when it's on, damages whoever killed them for 400 I think, and heals them for about 50. Basically, it's a 100% effective insta-res. Not too shabby, and I wouldn't call it unbalancing like some have, since anything killing a 35+ guard or zerk is going to be hitting him hard enough to do more than 50 damage per hit and won't be phased by a 400 hit. Plus, theirs is on the same kind of timer, five minutes I think. I can see theirs being more useful for raids and fighting mobs that use ice comet and nil dist, but I think ours is better on a day to day basis. <div></div>

The grass will always be greener, hehe. Personally I think there are 'better' abilities out there than the one crusaders got (statistically this was quite probable) but I'm just thankful we have a powerful class anyway <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> By the way the predator one is quite nice, about 30% haste or something as I understand it <div></div>
