My first Paladin was a human and they make great Paladins. I then made a high-elf Templar. I was astounded at the amount of power that high elves have and how fast they regenerate power. Power has always been a problem for me as a human Paladin so I decided to try out a high elf Crusader/Paladin. I hate to say it but so far, my high elf is a stronger Crusader than my human was because of the amount of power he has and his ability to rapidly regenerate his power. The real test comes in the mid-20s or later but I expect the frail elf to be even stronger at high levels. For Crusaders and Paladins, power is life and no race has more power than the high elves. So far I am enjoying my high elf crusader. He can fight longer and kill faster and tank mobs much higher than himself for one simple reason, power. His stamina is a bit low but that will eventually balance out.

I fail to see why a high elf should have more power than a human, and especially power regen? As far as I know there's no regen difference between races.. Besides, STR adds more power than WIS. Glad youre having fun though ;p

Interesting would be cool to see your high elf stripped beside another race of the same level, compare total power... and then have you both sprint to zero power and compare regen times to full.

Dark Elves also have extreme power regen. And you can take racial traits that boost it even more.

Humans have however more str and hit points.
