thats very cool...but if your level 50 already you 1. need to go outside and see the light and 2. make at least 1 friend

Don't bother asking any of these high level people anything. The group of high level characters on Mistmoore are all in the same guild and are extremely rude. I sent one of them a tell a while back asking what level they were when they got to Everfrost and I was blasted with tells calling me a NOOB, ect. (I am lvl 31 by the way). Keep in mind that I did not even ask how to get there just what level they were when they did. I then tried asking a couple of the other players that were around the same level (later found out they're all in same guild) and once again got blasted. They acted as though they hold some sort of secret and that's how they got to where they are.....apparently they don't realize themselves that the only reason is because they have no life outside EQ like the other 99% of us do. Not impressive fellas. If I had 60+ hours a week to play EQ i'd be level 50 by now too.

<DIV>i dont find it that impressive, its just weird considering in beta after 2 months the highest someone got was 45 maybe 46 before they had to buff people to lvl 50 to test higher content. THis has only been a month. I seriously want to know what the person does for an income to be able to play almost 24/7 like that.</DIV>

Just wanted to clarify that when I said "not impressive fellas" it was not directed towards you guys that posted. I didn't mean to imply any harshness towards Xentin and the other folks that replied to the original post. My remark was directed the the folks in the "Ardent Legion" clan. They get no respect from me. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

<DIV>You sure couldn't be married (or at least maintain a good marriage) and be able to accomplish something like this. My wife would divorce me if I ignored her that much. I get yelled at about something, if I'm even on the game for more than an hour at a time. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Seriously, though, she doesn't spend all her time yelling at me about my gaming. A lot of times, she is a whole lot more passive agressive in that she loves to find a chore or two for me to do, if she even hears me walking up the stairs toward my computer. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I tried to hook her on the Sims Online, the Sims and Zoo Tycoon in order to buy myself more time to play MMORPGs like EverQuest and Dark Ages of Camelot, etc, but after a few weeks she was no longer interested in gaming herself.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Oh well, I'm just assuming that it is my lot in life to never really get to do what I want to do. Instead, I'm finding ways to stay content always doing what she wants to do. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Will.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Who cares if someone is level 50? More power to them. Most things in life are rewarded by dedication at the expense of other things but that's the price you pay. All it really means is that maybe they can move on to do something else while the rest of us probably spend the same total amount of time trying to reach the same goal most likely at the expense of something else. It's not like we are saving the world instead of gaming.:smileyhappy: </DIV>

<DIV>I know a cop who plays EQ2. I would wager there are also doctors, firemen and military personnel also playing. I think some might literally be out 'saving the world' while not online in Norrath. :smileywink:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I would be much more impressed if one of these folks hit 50 instead of a mouth-breathing, hairy-back cave troll covered from head to toe in Pringles dust.</DIV>
<DIV>I think maybe I'm a little disappointed anyone was able to get to 50 already, despite how much playing time they have. I know there are plans for 200 lvls total, but I was surpised at how quickly the lvling came for me. I can see where each lvl is just a bit longer than the previous one as I think it should be, but still, it's only been a month since release, and we've got people at the endgame (for now). Who knows, I have 23.25 lvls to go, so maybe I will find that it's still a long journey. So what's next? You fill up your other slots with characters and hang around until expansion? btw, is there any word when they will open up the next tier of lvls?</DIV>

<DIV>I have a level 21 Paladin on Mistmoore (Kenedor) and its funny because I saw Krux in the TS instance just a couple days ago. I inspected him because his armor looked so cool. I was shocked to see he was level 50 because I did not know anyone had made it that high. (He is a level 10 Outfitter BTW :smileyvery-happy: ) </DIV>
<DIV>Gratz on lvl 50!..so your at end game, more than likely just did exp grinding, hardly any questing, ( I'd be 40+ by now if I spend all my time exp camping). All I can say is that I have enjoyed the storylines in the quests. Maybe he did alot of quests, who knows..but I doubt it. To each his own.</DIV>

<DIV>How can that even be fun? I have a rl friend who plays constantly and is just now approaching 30. He's 20 in a tradeskill as well. He literally plays 8 or so hours a day, 6 days a week. He's burnt out now and hasn't been on for a few days. He has no job currently. I look at EQ as an diversion from real life, something fun, an accent, not life itself. :smileyvery-happy: Their mothers would be so proud of those 50s! </DIV>

<DIV>Big deal on lvl 50. There will always be folk who are driven to be the first to level in every game. It gains them nothing in the long run. No plaquards, no parades. The real players to be remembered are those who take their time to not only enjoy the game, but to share that knowledge and help others along the way. Want to be remembered? Help out the newbie who is lost in Willow Wood, give away that old gear that you don't need anymore to an upcoming player in your area, donate all those tubers to someone else you see foraging before you just destroy them as you imrove your gathering skills. Stop long enough to teach someone else about an aspect of the game you now take for granted. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> The game, IMHO, cannot thoroughly be experienced by rushing throught it. I am daily surprised by the little secret alcoves and nuances in the game. At lvl 22, I have tried to visit every single area in Antonica and all the mini zones within Queynos. Now I am slowly moving into TS. What a wonderful way to wile away a few hours from the grinding pace of RL. EQ2 It is a wonderfully created environment and is wasted on powerlevelers who only want to be the biggest and baddest. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>That said, some like chocolate, some like vanilla. </DIV>

The way I see it it's only time. Put in more time and you'll level up faster. Put in less time and you'll level up slower. The game has been out for a month and to get to level 50 I would think the player would have to be ingame every single day for several hours at a time. In that respect it's kind of sad, but in another respect it's kinda cool that they got so high a level so quick.I really don't know what to say. If I congratulate the level 50's then I'm only congratulating their ability to spend most of their awake hours in a gane. Hehe.Eventually alot of us will hit the higher levels, I don't see it as skill, I see it as time and patience.
And yes, alot of higher levels are extremely rude players, and so would you be if you lived your life ingame. Hehe <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
