Demonstration of Faith vs. Faithful Zeal

<DIV>Wow, I was SO looking forward to Faithful Zeal since I use Dem. of Faith ALOT. Until I actually got Faithful Zeal, At app1 it wards 215 damage, and costs 62 or so power. Dem of Faith (at adept 1) wards 243 and costs 58. Talk about a USELESS spell. I assumed Faithful zeal would ward 300+ but nope. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Basically no reason whatsoever to use Faithful Zeal, HUGE disappointment. THe only other thing Zeal does is increase hate generation! You compare an App-1 with an Adept-1 : surely once you upgrade the Zeal it will function better ?

this spell improves pretty quickly.. I haven't looked at the #'s lately, but last time i looked, zeal was warding for more than demonstration..get yourself an app3 or adept1 (if you can find it) and get yourself a few more levels and zeal will be the one you use

Demonstration of Faith maxed out at about 240, and would go no higher. If you got Faithful Zeal to the same level (Adept 1), I bet it would do more. I have it at Adept 3 and it does around 340. So yes, MUCH better. Try upgrading a spell to the same level you had the previous one, or at least stop trying to compare an Adept 1 to an Apprentice 1, that's just ridiculous.

If you target a group member and cast Zeal on them, you BOTH get the ward (not just your target like with Demonstration of Faith). Additionally, it transfers hate from your target onto you (like a very short duration redemption).

No, with Faithful Zeal the person you cast it on gets a ward - contrary to the ward graphic, you do not get a ward. You get a buff that increases your hate generation. Should the ward on the other person fall, so does your increased hate generation buff.

I use FZ everytime a member get aggro, just to get some hate for me. Until I get my adept3 version of FZ I will stick to my other ward. Wanna swicth to FZ asap.
