<DIV>Is this true, and if so, are there any skill/spell limitations while mounted?</DIV>

I fight just fine on horseback. It appears to work exactly as if not on horseback.I sometimes do that if I'm soloing a tough mob and worried I may have to yell for help and run.

<DIV>Does that include special attacks like kicking, sheild bashing, ect?</DIV>

<DIV>I have noticed you must be much closer to the mob than you would be unmounted; sometimes I get sick of the "Your target is too far away!" message and click off the horse.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Really incidental when soloing tho, worth the tradeoff of being able to flee successfully.</DIV>
<DIV>Agree with everything said and it makes a paladin great for soloing (in addition to being able to heal). I do wonder though when I see quite a few paladins well past 20 not using their steed.</DIV>

<DIV>hmm i found that when i clicked sprint on my horse I did not go into sprint mode, so I had to click off horse then click on sprint. Or are you saying that the horse is fast enough to escape mobs successfully?</DIV>

<DIV>The horse is basically just a movement buff. There are no restrictions or benefits aside from being able to run faster. You can use all the skills you normally can.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for running away from combat... all movement buffs (except sprint) deactivate while you're in combat. This includes the horse. To run away, just yell for help... that will break the encounter and allow your horse to run at full speed again, which should be fast enough to get away from most mobs. No need to sprint at all.</DIV>

Ive also noticed that while on horse, JBoots and Sprint dont appear to make you move quicker - is this right ?Also someones comment above about not using the horse - generaly i will only use mine when running across large zones, will never use it in combat as its a big chunky graphic that fills up the screen, and some other players resent you for having a horse so early, best not to "brag" about it by using it all the time.

<DIV>Hate to jump the gun and ask (since I'm not quite 20 yet myself), but do horses still partake of your food/water like in EQ1?</DIV>
<DIV>I think fighting on horseback should increase your ac but that's just me :smileytongue:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-Turi</DIV> <DIV>L20 Paladin</DIV> <DIV>Blackburrow</DIV>

No you don't have to feed them thankfully, probably because they're summoned with a spell and are magical creatures.</FONT></DIV> <DIV></FONT> </DIV> <DIV>I guess that also explains why I move fast but my horse runs in slow motion like the Six Million Dollar Man.</FONT></DIV>
