Penitent Essence ?

I read that we need this item to cast a spell (as component). I got 8 now, but I have no idea where I got them from. Yesterday I had 6. It's like they are growing somehow. Maybe everytime I die I get one more. Well I have absolutly no idea. Can anyone give clues to this mystery ?

<DIV>To lay this issue to rest, you have have a chance of getting a penitent essense in your inventory everytime your hit when you have the Blessing of the Penitent spell on you.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In beta, the description of Blessing of the Penitent used to say something like Increase your maximum hp and grants a chance of creating a penitent essense everytime the paladin is struck. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But for some reason they took that last part off.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And yes your right penitent essense are used for our lvl 26 self heal which heals around 400 damage with app2</DIV>
