I know early on people we're concerned with the Paladin's resurection spell being removed from beta before launch. However, the Prima guide came out today and I can now confirm that we DO get a rez spell.... NICE:ELIXIR OF RESUSCITATION - LVL 44 - 5 second Casting - Resurects a dead target (caster can't be in combat)even though its a non combat rez... its still nice.Sorry if its a repost... but I know my concerns have been answered.

Would love for someone to ding 44 and confirm this before i believe it tho, ouyt of combat rez is more than fine with me - better than nothing.
A little disappointing it's at a rather high level.. (well, currently with 50 level cap) -- I personally think it would've been nice in the late 20's or early 30's.But still, having one at all is better than none. ^^

I always make sure my duo Mystic partner always summons me a spirit guide at the beginning of each session and we're set as I can use that to res a fallen priest.

This is the same as original EQ and I think it is balanced and welcomed. Paladins did not get a resurrect in original EQ until 40-something... can't remember exact level.

Also, because all three priest classes get resurrect in EQ2, I think giving it to us paladins at 44 is fine. Dirges and necromancers get some sort of resurrect at some point too... I remember reading that. Necro's got it in original EQ but the bard resurrect is interesting.

How many times will this come in handy at those levels, as non combat, I doubt many groups will lack a person who can ress out of combat as it is...I just don't see how this leveling the playing field at all between the classes, I guess it's a nice addition...but I doubt it'll be in my first 2 hotbars, though it'll get you points with newbs and random dead people! OH! And just because the Prima strategy guide says X is X means nothing, look at the Sony manual half of it is incomplete or just plain wrong, I'm not a big buyer of strategy guides for online games but with a game released like this I wouldn't count anything as too certain, until people hit level 50 for 2 or 3 weeks to test some of that out.

It wasn't until Velious that Paladins could res with something else (Resurrection at 59.) I distinctly recall making my way to 49, getting the spell, and a few months later, they changed it where Paladins could rez at 14. The only rez spell a paladin can't use is Revivisence, the 96% xp return rez. (Revive is now a 35% rez, Restoration is the replacement at 49....50% rez. Resurrection is still 90%.)
