<DIV>Having been through step 1, let me tell you the trick. You have to kill Sabertooth tormenters--but they don't exist. Here is what you do. Just to the left of BB (as you face it) there is a tent, surrounded by 4 groups of Sabertooth gnolls (runecasters, etc). Kill all 4 groups and 4 mobs spawn at the tent--usually 2 tormenters and 2 elders, but can be 3:1. Kill, wait 10 minutes, repeat.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We joined another group as a raid once; we got credit for 1 tormenter, but then did not get credit the next two rounds. We dropped from our raid and got credit the next kill. I would suggest not going as a raid, as the respawn time is just a few minutes anyhow.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We tried other tents nearby and could not get them to spawn tormenters.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>After our last kill we got a named spawn at the tent, a little tougher. Still easy for our group.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>BTW Elders are what shamans, and probably other classes, need. The int casters have a different set of mobs entirely.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Step 1 gives you gloves. I haven't done step 2 yet.</DIV>

Also since they're green at 20 when you're in a group, joining a raid would make them go grey. So that part is right, you just need a four to six person group.</DIV>

In case you guys were wondering, I just finished the 2nd armor quest. Giant Kodiaks can be found nearby windstalker village near the beach. The spiders can be found deep in BB with 2 spider group spawns. And At least the Named walks around right outside BB. Having a Scout helps you to make sure the named is there. Hope this helps.

Eventually his spawn got bugged and he was inside a wall so we didn't get one for everyone in the group. It was still a fun time though.</DIV>

<DIV>Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like these armor quests will never be soloable... at least not until the armor is pretty much worthless <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

The only quest that I would have been able to do solo was part V in Thundering Steppes at level 22 (Solo Gnoll Looters(blue), Solo Unearthed Settlers(blue), and Solo Corpse Feeders(yellow)).I finished part VI last night but need to be level 24 to wear the breastplate. <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

The armor is worth it. It's not hard to find groups...

Lot of other classes have to kill the same or mobs in the same areas, so with a little organisation you can get several people's quests done in one go and at this early stage, everyone likes the idea of free armour.
The problem with this quest is not the value of the armor or finding people to group with it is the simple fact that the Defiled Crusaders dont respawn. (At least not in a reasonable time frame.) We have spend at least three hours running around Stormhold checking on the Crusader spawn with no luck. I am pretty sure I am in the right spot because I kill 2 there earlier. This is the worst respawn I have seen, It unfortunately remindes me of EQ1. It would be great if they fixed it for those of us unfortunate enough to have a class that requires us to kill them for the AQ3 quest.

<DIV>Im gona go ahead and say this, dont waste your time on armor quest. It is totaly useless for tank classes. In the time you take doing the quest you could be xping and getting drops that are far better. I mean that drops you get in Thundering steppes , Varsoon , EL , and even RE are soooo much better then the Armor quest you will be replacing them before you get hardly any use out of em. I personally did the first 2 then I realized the gear i had was way better and just quit</DIV>

<DIV><FONT color=#66cc66>I did the armor quests while getting experience in Stormhold and Thundering Steppes. I still wear all but one of the pieces at level 25.
