Best Tanking Symbol?

I just use my DT reward naggy symbol as it is plenty good. Symbol for tanking? I assume you mean in the ranged slot?If you mean the offhand (symbols) then I would think Shield of the Magi for the ward alone?<div></div>

<DIV>I also like the Enspelled Vultak Eye which is one of the craftable items from Nest.  Works very well for solo or groups (probably not as good for raiding).  It has 20 INT, 10 STA, and a 10% chance to proc a 400 point ward on your successful hostile spells.  When I've examined it compared to say a pearl orb or cobalt censor (that have the mitigation factor on them unlike T7 equivalents) I concluded that even just a few procs from the eye would be more than the fraction of mitigation increase the other items gave.  The DEF and Parry of the vaults item would be a bit more difficult to compare the ward effect to.  Anyway, it's easy to get by making it yourself in the nest if you have the recipe book and the components (and are high enough level crafter).  If not,  have a friend/guildmate make, or just look to see if there are any on the broker.  Even if you preferred the others in the long run you could get this now and work the Vaults some to get the other item to drop. </DIV>

<P>Fitzpitzzles shiled in the ranged slot.  It's responsible for 1% of all of my incoming heals.</P> <P>Intrestingly and sadly enough the ring from the obby, sorry I can't remember the name.  Is responsible for 5% - 10% of all my heals (self and priest) depending on how many mobs I'm tanking at once in the instance/raid.</P> <P>Huge freaking epic quest for fitz = 1%, the only obby run I did in 20 min for the ring = 5% - 10%... nice balance mechanic SOE.</P>

<P>Since this thread is on the topic of Tanking Symbol's I have a question I have gone the 4-4-8 INT AA and was wondering what is the best symbol to use at lvl 30 or so to get use out of the special ability from that line? As well is there a macro that allows you to switch to the symbol in the secondary use ability then switch back to shield? Just curious is all and how to get the best use out of an abilitiy I have yet to use because of no symbole and dont know how to switch really fast.</P> <P> </P> <P>Thanks</P>
