Gluteus Maximus here, 27 SK on Nagafen server. I decided to lock my level for a while to build up status to buy gear and everyone tells me this is the level to do it at. On most 1 v 1 fights I do okay, nothing spectacular but I'm still learning.

Here's the problem, Furies downright own my rearend and I can't seem to figure out the best way to fight them. They have good damage, can root and slow you, and when I do get the upper hand (which is rare) they run away at high speed and I can't catch them. I know this isn't the PvP forum, but it is the SK forum and I'm asking for help from some of you experienced players.

Thanks.

A well geared assassin with enhanced stifle and root can probably, if lucky, burst the fury to death if he gets the jump on it and they dont get the time to push off a hot before your stifle lands.

As a SK though, you kill most things by outlasting them 1 vs 1. Wont work witha fury that has supierior firepower and heals. Either get a lucky crit with HT, or bring a buddy.

In t3, there is no way to outlast them, since their SoT is pretty much as powerful as your HT there. and their heals waaay outheal your lifetaps. In t6, I continually just blast druids away.

Quite nasty in group combat.

But, ah, they lose their momentum later on, whereas a lot of other classes gain it.

The swashbuckler for instance, have been a free kill to me since t3. I hear they are monsters in t7. I'll have to notice once I get there.

Kewl, lots of really good advice here and I'm working on getting better. I guess the best thing for me to do is learn which fights I should run from and I don't think there is any dishonor in surviving to fight another day. : )Gluteus

T7 vs healers of all types is totally different. Blessing + melee is the mainstay... burning out your mana will just get you killed, kind of cool having a 5 min fight over who will run out of blue first... if they are not damagiing enough to make use of blessings go 2h and off mode
