<DIV>I'm a 28sk with 28aa now and i've gone down the int 4/4/8 line and tried sta to 4/2 but didn't like hammer ground for soloing so i switched to str and now im at 4/4/3 or so and im starting to swing very fast and I've read that spells interrupt autoattack but what else does? Do CA's intterupt auto attack also? Already im starting to feel i swing too fast to cast while under swift axe with only 33% haste.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyways atm i'm basically trying to avoid losing auto attacks to casting so i pull with skpet, cast HO, cast grimcoil, cast dieasetaunt, cast symbol nuke, cast HO, cast, smite nuke, cast dieasetaunt, cast kick, and repeat. Everytime i cast i try and pause to wait for autoattack to fire but not sure how effective this is.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So I'm worried im not getting my money's worth from the str line and im maybe debating going down wis line.</DIV>

<DIV>Auto attack paeses when ever you cast a spell or a CA. Then will restart when you finish the CA/spell. Plus you don't want to hit mulitple spells and CA's in row, this will make you lose swings in Autoattack, meaning if you hit a spell and while casting you hit a CA, you will likely miss a swing at the target between those two abilities.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Haste isn't useless for us, but you want to try getting you hands on a slow delay hard hitting weapon vs a fast, lighter hitting weapon. Reason is with our spells, if you are using something that is fast, while the spell is casting you will not auto attack at all.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>To improve your damage, when you cast a spell wait untill your hot bar recycles before starting another, this allows your weapon to swing. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Hope that answers your question.</DIV>

<div></div>Its generally a good idea to have a weapon with a slow delay, 2.5 delay or more. You can check your current delay (haste calculated into base delay) with the /weapon command. From what i've noticed, it apears the countdown for next auto attack still happens while casting, it just waits till the cast is done for it to actually do anything, so i guess take the information you get from /weapon command and check your longest casting spell (2 seconds in the case of a SK) and try to balance it somewhat.I wouldnt go as far as waiting to cast spells when they are up....<div></div><p>Message Edited by pawnipt on <span class=date_text>01-02-2007</span> <span class=time_text>02:47 PM</span>
