Greetings. I am new at the game and i'd like to know a bit more about shadow knights.I'm going on a roleplaying server and in order for my character to be it's roleplaying purpose, I need a shadow knight that will betray his village; My question is, can I make a shadowknight for freeport, then just betray quest (which by the way, what is it?) and be a Qeynos Shadow knight? Is this possible, and what are the advantages/disadvantages?Also, My character RP wise is, mental image; Less lawful, more chaotic, but still good. Something like a DPS paladin/DPS Cleric for DnD Referrence, with a shadowy background. This is just a point of vue opinion, what race should I go with? Just wanna' hear what people think on it.

You can't be a Qeynos shadow knight. The days when such was possible are long gone.

For you RP purpose, you might look at either warlok or dirge. And welcome to Antonya Bayle:smileywink:

Being a Qeynosian SK isn't possible, but going into exile is. You can still betray and be an exiled Shadow Knight, but niether of the cities will want anything to do with you. Not a huge deal, but it does make leveling a bit tougher. If you want to betray I'd say wait a while before doing it. After you reach 70, it won't matter much of where your alliance is. You can always ally yourself with Maj'dul and as long as you're "the exiled", Haven will always be open to you.

If you want to stay a SK but be out of Freeport, You can also betray, become a Haven citizen, and then do faction quests for Qeynos up to the point where the guards yell at you but don't attack. That way you can move around Qeynos. Housing options will be only in Maj Dul, as was said, after you get your faction high enough with a court to buy a residence license. Broker fee IIRL is still 40% in Maj Dul, however and there are some other down sides like no guild level rewards and limited mount selection.

Waiting for a higher level might not be a bad idea. Also, I would have an alt in one of the cities (or one in each) available to use the city brokers and mail you things so you don't have to pay the 40% broker commission.

Personally, I can't stand D'Lere, but I don't mind Freeport on AB. It's full of strife, corruption, murderers, thieves, thugs and harlots....everything a growing SK needs.

Welcome to AB and send Axxon a tell if you need anything. Unless you go Paladin...:smileywink:

I sometimes even forget that D'Lere has anything to even do with this city, what with Frostfell hippies and even celebration of Erolissi Day /boggle.

Freeport isnt such a bad place, and alot of things are pretty conveniently located if you know your way around.
