<DIV>Just a quick question if someone could help me please. If I'm on a raid and not tanking, at what point would it be ok to cast DM without taking aggro off MT? Haven't tried using it on a raid yet. Should I wait til mob is half life or what?</DIV>

depends on your tank, could be anywhere from 10s into the fight, or 10s before the end...

<DIV>If your not mt ask the mt in vent if he has the mob or not. If he says yes have a macro set up in group so they know what is coming. Hold and and lead your group to the top of the parse.</DIV><p>Message Edited by HentaiBOy on <span class=date_text>12-17-2006</span> <span class=time_text>06:45 PM</span>

<P>For trash mobs with AOEs I find its not even worth risking a turn and by the time the spell is useful the mob is dead, for the rest of them I have an auto self feign death macro I can use if I fire it too early. On the named mobs I will usually wait until after 80% health, and tell the raid when the first death march is going to be cast so the main tank knows when he has to have his hate built up to fight it. If he doesn't and I cast someone in my group is getting agro, even if I don't.</P> <P> </P>
cast it on the pull its fun<div></div>

<DIV>here's what I do.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>in groups of three or more, not on the first mob. After the first one is down and the next one is at about 20%. Whenn there are two, then DM when the first one is at 20%. if you have a swash feeding aoe aggro to your MT, and the mt is switching to the other mob to throw the occasional single taunt, earlier is ok. getting 3 procs is not uncommon. though the third one is usually wasted.</DIV>

<P>If your tank has a hate transfer spell on him, or if you have someone to cast dispatch you should be able to use it.</P> <P>Reinforcement usually does the trick too.</P>

If I'm MT I use it early to make sure the mob is locked down fast. If I'm not MT, I always check with the MT if he feels solid in his aggro and give him a 5 second count before ripping it off (in Vent or TS). I'll often wait until 1 mob is just about to kick it to ensure at least a double proc.

Just a good rule I use is wait till last mob if a grouped encounter. Let mob get into orange (40%ish) and use it. By all means make sure you are targeting the mob then so you know if you gain agro. Anytime I assist I switch to mob target on last mob just for that reason, that and if called upon the grab I can. DM isn’t an issue of the MT knows his game and the MT group has good hate to pass his way.

Hehe, I learned not to use DM in any pick-up raids where you don't know tank and other group ghetto teamworks. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Using DM in guild raids takes practice to perfect..

<DIV>It also depends on what your group make up is also, depends on how much dps you've produced prior to casting of course. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If I am in a group with a corecer and fury with a couple damage procs on it I really don't use it much due the damage I will produce will likely pull agro when ever I use it, in the right group I am usually up in the top 5 in dps. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But if I am in a group that doesn't give me alot of dps buffs, I will usually cast it at the 30pct mark or so and won't usually pull agro. At those times I will likely be like 8 to 10th on the list.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If I am a ST role I usually save it for when I have to grab agro, example when fighting eyes in DT. </DIV>

<DIV>Also keep in mind that DM is only truly powerful if your group is the one making the killing blows on multiple mob encounters. Otherwise it's just good for that first 10 sec burst. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I use DM more often than not to pick up snap aggro rather than avoid it. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It has a nice dual purpose that way.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
