different shield types, what should i use?

<P>It used to be that crusaders couldn't use tower shields (it being in the realm of the warriors) but with DoF (I believe) they made kite shields and tower shields have basically the same shield ratings, as well as letting crusaders and warriors use both, so now, it's purely a statistical aspect now of what stats are the best for you.</P> <P>Personally, I like the way a kite shield looks better, tower shields just look ungaingly to me.</P> <P>Rrinn</P>

In order of mitigation it is buckler, round, kite then tower (for handcrafted that is). Tower shields have the most mitigation therefore in theory offer the best protection (I am unsure if there is a downside to this). So depending on your play style you want to look for high mitigation or stats or both. There is a kite shield from DoF called the crimson rock targe that I have used for a while as it's mitigation is the highest I have seen on the broker.

The crimson rock targe got hit by the nerf to fableds pretty bad though, so depending on its price, the mastercrafted tower shield might be better.<div></div>
