Team effort:Bard - lots of group buffsIllusionist - haste & dynamismWe are not a dps class, but as the tank, often get some nice buffs. If you had a real dps class, they wouldn't have buffed you, and the real dpser would have been vastly higher than yours. So lose the parser - in groups they add NOTHING, their only use is for solo (to maximise your dps) or raids

Stuff like assassins doing less than 100 dps means that spot should be filled by someone else. I dont care if people dont max out, but I do care if they are just along for the ride on af and afk most of the time.

Its sometimes just "interesting" do look at the logs, some weeks ago the warden with whom i often duoed the nest was in a group with another SK and noticed that the SK always loosed aggro, when they went into Nest i asked him to have a look at the logfile after they finish the zone. So the result was .. the SK did 250 dps zonewide ... i do 750 when i duo the nest .. i can't even imagine what you have to do ( or not to do) to do only 250 :smileysurprised:

Things also can be frustrating from another view .. when i see for example that my SK made 860 dps in an Aca run .. and my 70 Conjurer only does 650 there .. i already lost fun in the conjurer a long time ago when i fell in love with the SK .. but that was again another nail in the coffin :smileysad:

The bard was probably a dirge, which is why you parsed so well. Especially since Dirges use the same type to attack with and debuff(disease) It also helps that the illusionist is more of a crowd control class than DPS. I don't really want to burst your bubble, but i can understand why you parsed so well. Take the bard out of the group and add a bruiser and parse again and see how you end up. Especially when you state "Squigglle wrote: pretty good id say with only 2 adept spells and 1 master"

nope wasnt dirge, was trudobour or whatever. and yes i have had lazy [Removed for Content] in groups lol. i had a wizard higher lvl then me getting lower dps then my ranger and he was 3 lvls higher then me. also had a conjuruer getting out dpsed in a permafrost raid by a templer!!!! i was getting about 450-500 soemtimes higher dps with my lvl 40 wiz, the conjurer was getting 120! [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]!! LOL
Message Edited by Squigglle on 12-05-2006 12:33 PM

Secret to looking good in your group.... have a troub with you. spell procs, jesters cap, hate redux for the rest of the group. Tanking Obelisk and Crypt with my troub along, I generaly parse 800-1400 depending on how many mobs I pull, spiking up to 2k on named when I used PT, so the hate redux isn't really necessary, but it helps mellow out the spike damage caused by some.

I like to post my parse to encourage the "DPS" classes that can't beat the tank in defensive stance :smileyvery-happy:

There is one easy explanation why you can often outdamage wizards, warlocks or whatever .. you don't have to care about aggro, and normally you start doing your damage 5 seconds before they do .. and when they are finished casting a 4 second AoE most of the mobs are often already dead

I like outdpsing dpsers. As a tank, I am in the position to pull what makes me look good, and as a sk, that is grouped heroic mobs. Preferably 2-3 groups of 3-4 in each. And then I hammer my AEs. My dps skyrockets, and the poor assassins and wizards have problems keeping up due to the target I am on dropping so fast. A warlock OTOH will, as long as they even bother to push buttons, outdps me by the double in this situation. So the warlocks love my way of crazy [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] tanking.

So the parses with me is usually Warlock, Me, Scout/Wiz, healer.

I hate it when I am the MT and the only one in the group waiting for power.

Bards & Illusionists typically are not DPS. I have a 70 sk with all masters & alll fabled, and I have a dirge I 2box with that has a few masters and mostly claymore gear & a few pieces of relic. Bard + SK is an awesome combo, bards have to work VERY hard to do exceptional dps, they are buffbots and have some nice debuffs too.
