legionaire's smite with symbol

<DIV>Recently i aquired legionares smite, it requires the use of a symbol in the secondary slot.  Now just about every sysmbol i have place in the slot does not allow the use of the spell. Am i doing somthing wrong? presently im using a censor, when examined, it is listed as a symbol. Please advise.</DIV>

Another good idea is to make sure you have the symbol as well as your shield and 2h hotkeyed close to the legionaires smite.  Makes for a faster transition... just make sure the spell is completely casted before switching back to your shield/2h

I like how the animations are like you're dual-wielding when you equip the symbol.  I just love bludgeoning stuff with my big cobalt tablet.  I do enjoy the skill t hough.  Especially when I don't have to tank.  Sometimes, even when I do....<div></div>

ok thanks for the help guys, it was because i was putting the symbol in the secondary slot, not where the shield goes. I cant believe i have to swap shield for symbol just to use the spell. grrr what a pain. anyway thanks again.

secondary slot is where shield goes.unequip your items and look at the tool tip

yeah.  What i do there is use an item that guarantees it's only going into the secondary slot, and cannot equip in range
