Ok, after initially being dumb and putting 13 points in reaving I finally got 1,4,4,8 in INT so i got the crits Thanks for kicking my [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] on that one. Now however i have a new dilemna. I was going to go Wisdom for the in combat regen ... but im looking at reaving and suddenly thinking that the final Str AA reduces cast retimers by 10% which in theory means i can heal myself 10% more, and with reaving that may well be a lot more hp than the wisdom AAs. Plus str has the hate and haste bonus.

Thoughts?

I'm also mostly a solo/small group player .. and i I love the 10% faster cast/recast from the final str ability. The last points went into sta line, 5 into hammerground because that really helps alot to get not that much interrupts when casting tap veines

After todays crab raid in fallen dynasty, im really wondering about my build of str and int

I was getting smacked hard today, and my spells were really getting resisted like 1 out of every 3 spells were getting resisted

I'm just not sure anymore, i used to have int and wis lines with a bit of stam, and i was soloing nizara fine before eof.

After eof hit, i respecced to str for the recast timers and haste

But im wondering wether loosing my +34 to subj, mini, ord and dis from the wis line, is the cause of my recent hardships or if fallen dynasty just hasnt been tweaked yet ?

So yeah i dunno what to do now, 10p a respec now is getting ridiculous

im thinking of going back to Wis Int, or maybe even droping int and taking Str Wis.

Message Edited by Pitt Hammerfist on 12-01-2006 11:54 PM

i've got a similar build to Pitty. only difference is i've got 4-5 in stam for hammer ground where he's full str/int. i too have been having trouble with resists and misses. in fact, Pitty and i had a discussion just the other day about dropping int for wis line to keep the 10%.it's almost like rock, paper, scissors. what do you lose or gain more from? you can have the 10% with int line and get resisted therefore less crits. or str wis, not get crits but far fewer resists. or just go with the basic 4-4-8 stam, wis, int and pass in the recast reduction.one thing i just love about the str line is getting a faster DM. which i can reduce even more in SK AAs. i'm kind of leaning toward swapping int line for wis. but i'm in the 10p boat as well.

Just a reminder they are adding a "decrease chance to resist taunts" ability to our defensive stance soon, which should hopefully help..

But personally, after trying out a load of different builds (( and i thought agi would be such a good idea =( )) ive foudn 4,4,8 str/sta/int to be the most effective build

I'm pretty much in the same situation as you Pitty.

Untill about a month before EoF i had the wisdom line, never did much for me, but fear immunity ment less to worry about on certain encounters. everyone in the group got some skill buff... with content getting quite trivial i voted to speed things up and respeced to str 48848 int 548, all worked fine untill you start fighting orange epics in EoF... >.<

Really tempted to go back to something like what i had before with the wisdom line. possibly throw spare points in heal crits and see if the reaver line can be made more useful. if not i'll consider 448 on STA/WIS/INT as at the moment my general melee and spell miss/resist rate means i'm not really gaining much from STR at all, i'd much rather hit more reliably and harder than good old spray and pray FPS style game play that i feel i have with STR at the moment.

Either way i'll probably leave it another week till i get my last 8 AAs to fill up then figure out how the 100 would be best spent. but pretty sure i'll invest a good few points in decay and the wis line, as there is more than just personal gain to be had, which imo is almost always the better choice for raiding. Just need to find the balance that works i guess

Im unlikely to be raiding, and to be honest will probably be never liekly to hit anything more than light yellow. I tend to be in offensive stance, plus im 99% likely to be running with a dirge and there is of course the option to hae the dirges skill enhancing song on. I understand the reasons raiders might want all the slash/pierce/crush they can get but i was thinking wisdom for the regen. But im honestly thinking the 10% faster casts from str line will be more "healing" than the wisdom in combat regen when coupled with reaver line.

Do you think im likely to need the skill boost from wisdom if i never fight oranges/deep yellows? In fact most liely to be doing blues mostly.

in combat health regen from the wis tree is little more than fluff, it might help a soloer, but the rest of the tree provides little solo benefit as its all group buffs.as a few people have posted STR INT and a possibly 5 or so points in STA for hammer ground is a nice solo/small group build

In-combat health regen doesn't really help SKs - if we need our health to go up we lifetap. If a lifetap isn't enough, we're probably dead already.

Ok ill go Str the rest of the way. But then should i do that before the SK lines? I laready took 13 in reaving :=) Wondered about the despoil and the death march enhancements. They look nice and of course the reaver line is nice for soloing .... choices choices

Hard decisions now that Wis line is worth something. Once you spend 448 INT, and look to get some +skills you can't get to anything else useful, so I'm planning to respec away from Str once I have SK hate maxed:Crusader:

Int 448 (compulsory isn't it? :smileywink:)

Wis 45888 (Might as well help the group and /crouch /walk are enough for fear immunity, but can't get to anything else useful)

SK

Siphon Hate 1 (Final Hate line)

Damage Shield 5

Encounter Taunt 3

Death March 5

Shield Bash 5

Taunt 3

Rescue 4

Pools of Blood 1 (Final Decay line - 1.2k HP unconscious or not is more buffer for priests)

Encounter Taunt 5

Wis Debuff 5

Str Tap 5

Doom Judgement 3

AC siphon 5

Obviously a tanking build, so the Sta line is hard to pass up, but if you can't keep hate a few % more HP and a 10sec stoneskin don't IMO cut it.
